Seriously, people will not shut the fuck up about Bionicle, yet Lego acts like there's no real interest in the franchise (even though the franchise saved their ass) Fuck, they even made a joke in the Lego Movie that Bionicle was one of the "Lego worlds" that wasn't worth talking about.
Personally, I think the main reason that Bionicle is ignored is simply this: No playsets. It's no secret Lego enjoys having some of the most expensive toys you'll find on a shelf, and yet they sell consistently. With Bionicle, you can't really do that, because they are full sized action figures, so you can't have playsets/dioramas for them
