That's the exact figure I was thinking about when I wrote that. Plus on the side of Panthor's box there was Fisto with a centaur, if they make the centaur then they could reuse the body for Sagitar. I honestly think Origins could successfully translate the New Adventures characters into a unified retro look and I'm looking forward to seeing what Mattel brings to the Origins table.

The reason they had all that trademark shit put into the bios was just an excuse by Mattel to keep the trademarks on various toys and media active. They could have written the bios without them, but it's good for them to employ it on packaging just to keep a copyright going so no other company can swoop in and take it.

Well he's worked on the project for what probably feels like forever and he's probably seen the transformation scene a thousand times, and now finally has it with the accompanying music. First wash the item in warm soapy water to get the lubricants off. Then mix acrylic paint of choice with water and a drop of dish soap. Make the consistency to your liking, but not to thick or too watery. Brush it onto all the nooks and crannies and wipe off excess from the raised areas.

I'd want them to cover the original cast before moving onto original additions. That being said, I'd rather we get original bullshit characters included with vehicles over repacks of characters we already had/didnt want. That was the original design for the Orko/Hordak 2-pack that was never released due to not meeting the MotU Minis subscription goal in 2014 (would have been after the She-Ra/Trooper 2-pack that was produced, but never officially released). I think what happened here is that they kept the original buck, but sculpted a new head more in line with his Origins appearance. For what it's worth, they're releasing the "angry Orko" head sculpt as "Anti-Eternia Orko" later.

I just watched some YouTube reviews of wave 4. Hordak is actually pretty cool looking. I got sucked into MOTUC when I saw his reveal so this kind of looked like a disaster but it’s not. I did get accustomed to him having a staff so I’ll have to look for one for him. Found a 3D print that looked nice til I looked at it up close. Ugh.

Some of the 6 inch figures can go for hundreds of dollars each. You can still find some of them for a decent price. I got Modulok off ebay in 2019 for a fair sum, and I'm very happy with him.

I'd say Origins is worth it. I'm the opposite of most MOTU collectors, I grew up in the 90s, so I never watched He-Man or played with the toys growing up. I got into Classics when I started coming on /toy/ in '09 off of the wacky/cool character designs alone. I pretty much went all in (or as all-in as 20-something Canadian could without getting a sub to MattyCollector) on Classics, and when Origins was announced, I was eccstatic. I could finally revisit the original toys that inspired the Classics toys I loved so much, but with updated 2020 articulation and not 6poa 80s toys.
You're right, origins figures do have a lot of character. Even owning 100+ Classics figures, I'm still going all in on Origins.
But I can see how you think Classics look 'better'. The 4H sculpting is there in full effect, and it's quite a sight to behold despite there only being 8/9 different bucks. But to say Origins isn't really 'worth it' I think is a misstatement. Because then Classics isn't really 'worth it' in this day and age either. The Roboto in that pic is ~$60 loose now. The Man-E-Faces is ~$100 new. Compared to the recently released Origins Man-E at $15, I mean you're getting a better value with the Origins. Admittedly, I think Origins articulation is better than Classics as well.

I got the classics, because I had enough parts of the original vintage to make one guy, and wanted to buy the other parts to complete him. Turns out it was cheaper to buy the Classics one compete then to try and finish the vintage one.

The fact that all the rest of the figures can mix and match would make him a god tier toy if you had even a handful of the other characters.

That doesn't seem to change anything for me. However, I now notice If i turn his head sideways, then turn the waist, the mouth seems to open and close smoothly as it's intended. But then it goes back to being an abrupt, hard click that barely moves the mouth if I have the head face forward again.

They work pretty well. They're basically just acrylic paint markers, and can flake off if the plastic they're applied to is too flexible. For little touch ups like that picture they should work great.

The head is probably soft plastic and you applied so little (and on top of paint, too) that it's probably fine. I wouldn't advise putting it on anything like his torso, though.

Pink is from the original card back art. Axel had him in that colour on the back of Ram Man box. I’m sure they’d do orange as well as a Battle Armour. Strange the pink wasn’t an exclusive though.
