These waves don’t normally sell out until they are nearly released as I think these sites can easily order more if there is enough demand with orders. There’s a big difference between me or you ordering a wave from S7 directly and BBTS ordering another hundred of it because they’re close to sold out, I think so long as they haven’t finished production S7 will just make a few more.

2. People who missed the previous waves are just now buying in, as TMNT always seems to be in demand

Sites seem to be limiting how many you can order, but even with limits he's gone.

I think Super7 offered the online retailers the ability to order more and each retailer ordered what a certain amount that they thought would sell. Brian said something in a recent interview to the effect of that it he could just have the factories crank out another shipment with the next wave, since the tools and everything already exist.

I feel like Super7 should have given everyone a day's warning that this was happening. They were already sold out before they were even announced on the S7 twitter account.

I'd wager there's a lot of casual collectors who just collect the main turtles and nothing else. Brian's said he doesn't usually like to do re-issues because it's vague on how much of a demand there is for a re-issue-- will he sell a few thousand more, or only 100 or 200 more? I'd be willing to guess that he sold a few thousand more on this re-issue, and for whatever reason TMNT is just one of those toy lines that can always seem to sell.

For Super7 I'd like Panda Khan and Sewer Samurai Leo since we are getting Usagi and I would always pair the three up as a kid.
For NECA I'd like to see them do comic Karai.

Yeah he did and so did Fugitoid.
I think they should be able to get him too since they were able to get Usagi but we won't know until he gets revealed or they bring it up.

Yeah not many people do, it's a lot less "famous" case than Usagi.
From what I understand about the old playmates line is that anyone at Mirage could submit designs for it so I guess the couple who made him did that alongside Usagi's creator, Stan Sakai.
I don't know how they feel about the toy but I remember hearing that Stan Sakai disliked the redesign of Usagu since it felt too much like a He-Man character but he seems fine with Usagi appearing in TMNT stuff and must have signed off on that old design being remade if Super7 is making one (though it would be cool if he came with a comic accurate head)
Meanwhile Panda Khan hasn't appeared much in TMNT media or toylines outside of the original.
