>>8765148>I have never experienced this nor did many of my friends and those I have met in the real world.I find that weird, but I'll take your word for it. My friends and I all loved getting toys of shit we saw in our favorite shows. Sometimes to our detriment, as we'd buy shitty toys just because it came from a show we liked.
I legitimately think your experience is atypical, if only because the shit that tends to sell best in many toylines with show tie-ins are characters who have a big presence in that show and are well liked.
>Big reason is there is such a massive delay between the toys and show it just can't line up to care.Didn't feel that way for BW, or RID, or much of the UT. Maybe my perception is skewed from when I was a kid, but that phenomenon feels more recent, like Prime recent. Failing to line up toy releases with the show is a marketing fail IMO.
>You brought up TM2 Megs. His toy came out 5 months -after- the show endedDo you have a source for this? I legit can't find exact release dates for BW toys. Wiki just says 1999 and BW season 3 ended in May 99. TM2 Megs was wave 1, too.
>Also this thing was in all of season 1 and most of 2, that's the issue here, why would anyone be sour to this?Because they paid up $350 upfront for the ship they saw in the show right before it wrecked to (probably) never be seen again.
Maybe the guy is really out just to hate on shit, all I'm saying is I'd 100% understand being at least a little miffed if they retired a design right after I shelled out ridiculous sums for a toy of it.
Though, on the flipside, if I were ponying up that much for a big ship, it'd really just to be to have a big ship for my toys. Like those huge AT-AT toys from a while back, those look fun to play with.
