I had my days wrong and checked Thursday night at 9, so then when the drop came on Friday I spaced it until something reminded me about 45 minutes too late and I missed the Phantavoss and spectre. Did get Hades at least.

So I just had an idea to partially stem the scalping of Glyos figures - what if instead of being bagged at the factory, the sellers themselves sealed them using a mini-sealer but included a small copy of the invoice in each baggie? It would contain the buyer's personal information and address on each figure, so if you wanted to scalp them you'd have to open up each one and thus they could not be sold as "new and unused".

They're not hard to get at all. There's multiple releases usually every month from different toymakers and there's set times when they go on sale. This isn't like sneakers or mondo posters or some crazy limited sofubi, with very rare exception you can pick almost anything up as figures often stay in stock for anywhere from minutes to weeks.

The Jacked Jet Jaguar is an upcoming figure not yet released by rocom toys. It was available in a Kickstarter but will have multiple normal releases starting later this year.

Unfortunately green gitd is nowadays pretty uncommon because the plastic is more expensive. If these go up and are a little more than the clear orange ones still on the store, that's probably why. Robo Force kits are great but the only ones on the store right now are expensive and are blocky. If you like the round boys that Marty makes, I'd recommend buying one Mushi and maybe one of the Biomass monsters. You can build some fun stuff that way, and in unpainted colors it tends to be less than $30.

As cool as the Nemesis figure looks, if you want to actually build off of the figures you buy then Nemesis should be the first thing you skip if you're on a sensible budget.
Yes it looks cool but it's parts aren't very versatile and have some strange choices for which pieces are male and female.
Again, looks cool, great as a desk buddy but I think you get the most out of glyos when you're building.

I have a sizeable folder of Mushi builds I've saved, and I'd say around 75-80% of them have pretty strong silhouettes and recognizable forms. The Mushi parts are almost all great in my book, 10/10.

Now, when Nemesis gets involved, shit gets complicated. My Nemesis folder is real small, and most of the builds are sorta...well, like I said, incoherent. I don't really like building with it myself, and I don't like most of the builds I see. IMO Nemesis parts work best when they're sprinkled minimally through a build, and supplemented with parts from other, stronger figures.

This is one of the few I like.

Seems panel lines (or more like a rub) returned for this release. I wonder if a rub is cheaper/more viable, since they apparently charge for every time a brush is lifted now, and work load-wise, a rub is more akin to something like a wash.

Anyway, it looks great, all messy and sorta grungy like early Glyos panel lines. It also features two of my favorite things: panel lines on clear plastic, and unconventional colors of panel lining. This release is just amazing in every way but price (yeah, I know it's two figures + joints, it's just sticker shock).

thanks for the tips and opinions, everyone. I hear ya. I looked at some of the "contained builds" and other builds that people have made from the figures. I REALLY love monsters and glow in the dark stuff, so I think I'll get 1 Mushi and 1 Bio Mass Monster. no need for me to go crazy with stuff, I think. that should be enough for me to play around with and then I'll just watch future drops to see if anything else appeals to me down the road

Still somewhat new to Glyos so I was hoping I could get some advice or second opinions - I've noticed during building with the pieces I have that sometimes fits get loose or just ARE loose to begin with. Any way to alleviate this? I know that for most toys the floor polish trick works, but with these toys being smaller market limited run sort of things I don't feel as confident about doing that here.

Also, is the Reverse Scarabite Armorvor on Godbeasts shop worth it? I love the reverse Scarabite colorway and don't have an Armorvor yet, but I know this one doesn't come with the regular Armorvor heads. Also 30 bucks is a bit pricey, especially since (at least according to this thread anyway) Armorvors usually drop on Onell Design for half that.

As an even more passive alternate to >>8816606, just disconnect the piece in question and leave it alone for a couple of weeks, or longer even. I've noticed that the PVC seems to like, "tighten up" when a peg is not occupying the hole for a while (yeah, I know what I said). This has worked numerous times for me with figures that were loose.

A typical Onell Armorvor is about $15 with only two heads and less paint. The head packs are usually like $11-12 total to get all of the other heads, and those are made in way higher quantity than Marty's stuff.
