The Box for Unicron is HUGE. No retailer would have taken it because there's simply nowhere to display it. They would have to devote an entire section, permanently devoted to displaying Unicron. Not to mention, how would they even order it? Hasbro can make toys for relatively cheap by having higher production runs. These higher production runs are possible because the retailers will buy them in those numbers. A single box of Unicron takes up the space of 8 cartons of deluxes/voyagers. How much space would a "carton" of Unicrons take? A carton of say, 6-8 Unicrons would take up the entirety of a rack's display. A rack that could have been used to display 10s of copies of a dozen different toylines and sublines. Including cheap, fast moving product, as opposed to this huge, slow moving product.
