>>8801531>I strongly disagree with your assertion that scales were always overpriced. Go buy a western scale sold at a lower price and tell me you want low quality crap taking up that much valuable shelf space. Why are you bringing up western scales when it's not even of the topic? Just because some other product on the other side of the world is worse doesn't mean anything
>Hyakkimaru wasn't 13-14K thoughYou're right, he's about 12.7k. I was getting the other statue mixed up, and that one was nearing 17k which was more absurd than I remembered.
>that isn't charging full MSRPAnd the FGO Figmas aren't going to be 9-10k yen either, clearly MSRP is being discussed for sake of this discussion as actual store prices vary. And if it wasn't, then your previous point of "$100" Figmas (let alone the $130-150 part) makes even less sense. Most Figma releases after discount aren't even hitting close to the $100 mark lmao, maybe $60-70.
>But let's be real, unless you live in a mansion you have finite room anyway.irrelevant?
>Figma is all about quantity. The quality is lesser because you're supposed to be able to buy more of themAnd in the end, you're more likely to buy more modern Figmas than modern scales, because both industries have gone up. Unless you're going the cheap prize route, you would be buying Figmas for quantity.
Whether the scale has more value than the Figma is subjective to the consumer, but in the end you *are* still paying for a product that has overall went up 4-6k on average within a decade and has already lost its good sense of value. Rarely ever a Figma or scale is going to be good value anymore, and that's my overall point. Paying 9k for a Figma vs. a 15k scale of the same character fucking sucks compared to what they were several years ago and everyone is gradually getting priced out.
