I used to buy nothing but Figuarts now I only buy the odd Dragon Ball figure. Lost interest in Star Wars, realised the superhero releases where low effort, almost got into Sailor Moon but they seemed pretty outdated. Miss buying SHF but ah well

>>8802900 Last Figuarts I bought was M. Bison last year. I like the character and I'm glad they used the classic design but he felt weird. Despite being tall and muscular, he felt hollow and his joints seemed to ratchet a lot. Plus he didn't have hands to do his aerial attacks or win poses and his effect pieces were super pointless.

Anonymous
>>8803541 >Just sucks the P-Bandai route ultimately killed the line I thought it was just lack of interest in general, given other SHF lines are popular and going inspite of P-bandai. Even going by youtube videos, both japanese and US, there seems to be distinct lack of interest in articulated cures. Statues, wands, make-up, etc seems to be popular as ever.
>The line had a good run at least and they covered most of the teams That's true, outside of a few older jankier ones; most of the ones we got were amazing and I am glad they happened.

>>8803561 > Even going by youtube videos, both japanese and US, there seems to be distinct lack of interest in articulated cures That's probably the real reason. I recall during the Smile/DokiDoki releases a lot of feedback on futaba indicated they preferred to have smoother sculpts over articulation cuts. Might also explain why they started to pump out more sets of the trading figures over the years while bumping up the quality there too.

>>8823289 Ah I see.
I used to watch Power Rangers as a kid but I didn't seriously get into toku until I was older and got more into Godzilla and other kaiju flicks, that eventually lead me to watching Ultraman and then when a friend of mine suggested Kamen Rider (a Brazilian if you are curious) I gave it a go.
Honestly I'm still kinda a newfag to Kamen Rider with only 3 series under my belt because I take forever to watch things and they're 50 episodes a season + 2 or 3 movies.
Kamen Rider W was my first series so that's why I got the SS Figuarts.
