These two are absolutely tiny. I wished the Camaro's front seats were leaned back a little bit more, but other than that I think it's a really pretty model.
I don't like the paint on the Mustang, but there's no details stamped on like lights or badges so I'm probably gonna repaint it, when I get around to picking up some primer. The metal around the windscreen needs sanding too, although I don't know how well you can see the problems in this picture.

What is your most hated casting that's licensed, and what's the fantasy casting you hate as or almost as much?

I'll start. I feel this as of this years has become one of the castings I've liked the least, it's uncanny and uses that weeb-shit artstyle that doesn't compliment the car very well. It's probably why back in 04 we got Hardnozed Twin Mill instead, there is no way to Toone' a Mill properly.

Oh and my least favorite licensed casting is probably a good majority of the 80's HW castings based on real cars, either the car is butched in translation or they picked shitbox cars.

Most hated fantasy casting is probably the crap clogging up the pegs and bins keeping my stores from stocking more HWs. Most hated licensed is tough but maybe the 67 Camaro. It's not necessarily terrible but it does show its age, and it's way overhyped imo. I still pick them up at the store, I just can't resist.

I'm a little glad because that means I can make up for being out of the collecting business for 2 straight years. It only becomes a problem when you are still looking for a god damn Muscle Bound and a large majority of what you want from the 2020 and 2021 mainline are never on the pegs.
>TL;DR don't get out of collecting right when they start to drop good ass castings that you probably won't ever get thanks to the shitty hype culture online has made Hot Wheels become.

They're not allowed to print Marlboro on their cars. Something about advertising to kids. Certain brands have gotten around it by selling model cars that are glued/screwed to the base, but I don't see Hot Wheels doing that.

nah, I remember it had the light blue metallic on the box. I had picked it up and put it down as I was running low on time. I've seen normal hot wheels with the nice coating on them (I own an F-150 like that and it's a normal version) so I didn't think much about it.

Rear window seems comically too big. BTW saw this HW today. I thought it's Pontiac/Dodge from 1971-1974 but turns out to be something completely different.

Yeah, basically both are heavily modded Dodge Charger. Though batcharger is more of a rear engine built.

It has some pretty decent liveries, I prefer the red one myself. I passed up the Nova Wagon Gasser a few times because it was easy to confuse with Cruise Bruiser sifting through the bins.

Hey anon just popping over from /sfg/ on /sci/. That's just a shitty hotwheels Curiosity, they shouldn't have even fucking bothered if that's all the effort they could muster to put in. I don't know about the other 4 you mentioned being in the same series, I presume similar low-effort garbage versions of historic crafts.
What you should get is pic-related instead from the Pathfinder mission, the little Sojourner rover even has suspension. It's amazing the difference in effort a few decades makes.

Would badly prefer Walmart grabbing the licensed China shit from Motor Max over Maisto for their Adventure Wheels series. Motor Max isn't amazing like Hot Wheels, Matchbox or Tomica but Maisto's wheels are the absolute WORST. They're too thin and sometimes when I do get them for some models other brands don't do they're built like shit and the wheels are broken. It's fucking annoying how Maisto doesn't give two shits about their quality of 1/64 compared to bigger scales.

I miss having the old Fast Lane motor Max cars I bought a lot at Toys R Us when I already had the current Matchbox or Hot Wheels at the time (so the mid-late 00s). Every other country is lucky they still have Toys R Us.

are there different rarities for hotwheels cars?
not including treasure hunts, just the regular cars.

Hot take: I don't mind that HW messes with the dimensions a bit to make a cool looking casting. I can get a 100% accurate Mustang from AW, Greenlight, etc, but something about the way this HW Mustang sits looks great
