I guess the stupidest thing I did was take Joes out on the lake/ocean on their little boat and lose them. Multiple times. I guess I learned to stop doing that after I lost like 6 Joes to the watery depths.

I had a space themed Lego set and the minifigs had those classic jet packs on their backs. Maybe they were supposed to be air tanks but the bottoms were like open tubes so I assumed they were jet packs. And it was kind of fun to imagine them fly in my hand and all but one time I decided to set the backpack bottom on fire for the full effect. To my disappointment the backpack piece didn't catch fire but just slightly melted. I don't remember exactly what I was thinking with this careless idea but it just didn't go how I expected, I thought the fire would stay on the bottom then I'd quickly blow it out after a few seconds before it spread further and damaged the figure. I'm glad I didn't burn the house at least.

I thought they were rocket packs, too. Eventually someone pointed out that they were the air tanks, but fuck that noise, little kid me decided that their helmets had some manner of rebreather/compact air system in them, and those packs continued to be rocket packs.

This happened when I was maybe 3. I used to like having my action figures hang onto things that I could find around the house like wire hangers and stuff they could get their hands around. I also had a bad habit of leaving them wherever they were when I was done with them. I guess at the time my mom had a lampshade in her room that I liked to play with and I had left my toys around that lamp multiple times. One night she turns the lamp on and it's on for a while before she starts to notice a weird smell. She looks all around and can't figure out what it is until she notices something dripping off of the lamp. The smell was melting plastic. I had left Spider-Man on the actual lightbulb and his legs had melted off while his torso had melted around it.

I also did the same thing with a Robin toy but I can't remember if it was before or after that lol

I don’t know why I started, probably inspired by demolition man, but I loved freezing toys. Would fill a toy bucket with water with my favorite toy at the time, a butt ugly Martian, and put it in the freezer till it froze into a huge block. Favorite was to get tiny toys and work them into a water balloon to make ice prison spheres even if I had an ice cold water ballon pop on me a couple of times . Didn’t last to long cause eventually I didn’t have a ballon or toy bucket and to use and took a glass out the the cabinet and one pile of broken glass later and it was all over

I don't know if this counts as stupid or not, but I enjoy smashing other toy with Bionicle's mechanical arm gimmick, and I only had Toa Lewa back then.

Other than that, shooting my other toys with some B-Daman marble shooter.

And if any of you know what Souchaku Henshin figures of Kamen Rider, I treated them like toys for 10 years old and under, resulting in damaged paintjob on the diecast armor parts.

I also cut the bionicle mask of light and mask of shadow?(makuta mask whatever that was) in half and glued them together to be like the movie.

When my sister and I were kids we had these plastic horses and we would throw them in the air and let them hit the ground until their legs broke off. I don't know why.

I was... Very attached to this dumpster truck. All I would do all day every day was go outside (or in my room although there wasn't much room to maneuver) would be to go outside and drive around the dump truck, and watch its back go up, and down. Go up... And down. The dumpster truck would drive around to one spot of the driveway, raise it's back up so it could dump nothing out of it, and then go to another part of the driveway and lower it back into a normal position. Each one of these "runs" would take about 40 seconds in total, and I could easily do this 240+ times in a row before I wanted to do something else with the dumpster truck. It's really indescribable with words how terrible I felt when my mom gave it to my brother, because imagine this right:
You have your favorite video game that you love so much. It gives you endless hours of fun, and you're on NG+40 at this point. You already know everything in it, yet you still feel like it's absolutely magical. It's a beautiful game and you play it every day. One day, you invite your friend over and he shows you a path in the starting area that leads to an entirely new gameplay route. Suddenly, it all makes sense. All those stats you never really got how they worked, all those weapons which seemed useless no matter what build you made for them, those characters and throwaway lines of dialogue mentioned in the main story are now earthshatteringly important. You spend the rest of the day playing through this new route of the game, and it's like playing through the game for the first time again. It's amazing and incredulous.
The next day, your brother takes your game disc and breaks it. You will never experience what the secret route had to offer you again.
The pain and sorrow of everything you haven't done in life is only experienced twice: Once, when you are on your deathbed, and a second time, when your toy dumpster truck is taken away from you.

The set didn't come with any, it was the only set I had at the time. I probably would do that instead, the older Lego sets didn't have fancy effects like fire parts.

I would take my toys outside and rub pebbles on them to make them dirty and battle damaged. I would bury them in pebbles too and make them rise out of it.
I would also freeze my toys in cups of water and then melt some of the ice to have them break out.

I used to take all my toys out to the corner of my yard with tall grass and use hair ties to make teepees for my action figures. That way they had a home base to ride their breyer horses out from.

It's weird that I had dolls as a kid but instead of useing them in my made up adventures I'd use beast wars transformers because barbie couldn't bend her knees and ride a horse like a normal person.

I have distinct memories of being at my grans, grabbing barbies with my little sister and going outside to just throw them up into the trees.

No fucking clue why, we just flung them over and over then kept going inside to get the broom when they got stuck.

We did it for weeks (summer holidays) until Mum drove up home from work early and saw us doing it and we got grounded.

I found one of my old baby toys which was a playmates racecar thing and I taped a string to it and pulled it around the neighborhood because I could thrash it as much as I liked and pull cool stunts and wouldn't give a fuck if it got damaged. I was way too old for it though, and all other kids saw was someone playing with a baby toy.

I got this guy towards the end of my kid years, you can fill the backpack with water and then squish it so it comes out the gun and pretend is some toxic compund because he's an eco-terrorist.

My dad is a smoker and was in this zippo lighter phase so he always had little cans of lighter fluid so one day I decided to fill the backpack with said fluid and make a kick ass flamethrower! I filled the thing, lighted a match and put it on the soil upright, pressed the backpack and the liquid came out on a stream towards the lighted match and..... nothing happened. Tried couple more times but it was the same. I was SO dissapointed.
