The alt mode being meant to come apart into different separate vehicles is a bit different than, say, HasTak's WfC Cliffjumper/Bumblebee where an entire piece has to come off and then be reattached during transformation and realistically serves no fucking purpose whatsoever in either mode beyond completing the form. Calling it a "shield" is a flimsy as fuck excuse.
Granted, if it's more like the weaponizers/fossilizers/whatever the base guys were called from WfC where the entire thing has to blow apart and be completely reassembled to "transform", that's also not quite the same as partsforming because it's supposed to serve a purpose but it's also not my cup of tea so if that's how this Megs functions, then it's a pass from me. From how it looks, one vehicle is the robot and the other is the armor.
