Post speculative fiction (fantasy, scifi, horror, lost world, superhero, post apocalyptic, etc) settings you would like to see explored by Lego, even if they've already been done.

For me it would be retrofuturistic scifi, basically weird science space fantasy.

Some kind of prehistoric caveman meet dinosaur thing could be cool too.

Galaxy Squad had potential imo.

I don't think we ever saw a home base for the good guys, and the bug's colors scheme was not too bad, they just needed more Oomph to it.

they should of also given us some lore to it, rather than a training/intro video for them. and speaking of, if you've seen it the civilians that the bugs kidnapped just look like regular LEGO City people with bowls on their head, they should of put more thought into it.

i think there's enough content in ATLA for at least a couple of waves, if shit like trolls and minions can get themes with irrelevant builds to their own properties i think lego could squeeze in some interesting sets. It's been a while since i've watched the series but i recall that one library with the giant owl or something, the airship in the finale, etc, all decent ideas for sets

but i think the smarter decision would be to just make a single D2C set and call it a day, because perhaps the avatar brand isn't as strong as people think it is

Galaxy Squad was the definition of half-baked. Great vehicle and enemy design, figs were pretty nice, but almost no bases or playsets and really no sense to what the entire theme was about other than "bugs vs humans."
I suppose that does harken back to older space sets, but we for sure could have used a more solid bug base and human base.

I will say that if you get creative with building a SNOT wall using vertically-aligned tiles, you'll be able to have an opening large enough for a sliding door setup that slides on grille pieces lining the floor of the outer edge (the studs that are currently under the door)

Icicles on one of the Chinese New Year sets comes to mind. It's a unikitty horn attached by a clip but the widest part is wider than the clearance of the clip so they don't sit in the clips all the way and stick out at an angle that isn't 90 degrees

It helped that the local Lego store's PaB wall had runs of particularly useful pieces in green (brackets, bricks with stud on one side, curved slopes), knew they would come in handy one day. The sub has two compartments flanking the central hull; port side is the marine species research station, starboard focuses on sea floor mapping and analysis. There are two access tunnels with watertight doors to each compartment; all access hatches to the interior are on top.

This craft is intended for the deepest depths, far beyond where the underwater mining op, Aquasharks or any other faction will usually venture. They are contractors with such entities, for missions varying from ocean floor mapping to investigating deep ocean life to locating sunken wrecks.

Had added a few to an unrelated order some time ago and just happened to see them in my stockpile while still figuring out what I was going to build, was a providential buy, heh. This sub is freaking heavy, couldn't even guess at how many parts were sunk into it. It is crewed by four intrepid entrepeneurs, with plenty of space for researchers, engineers or even deep sea tourists if so desired. The sub has mountings in the gaps between the compartments for ROVs, in this case a pair of simple explorer models for checking out areas too small or too hazardous for the big ship.

Got another build done, photo op'ed and ready to go (can see it in the background in one shot) but I might save that for later, heh.

The classic set revivals like Barracuda Bay and Blacksmith have been selling well so I’m sure we’ll get more, especially for Space. In the mean time, Benny’s ship from the Lego movie was great and a good way to start building Classic Space MOCs

The horn alone wouldn't even be a problem due to being soft but they slapped it onto one of those candle stick pieces which are much harder and put more stress on the clip.

Also, the hips of the Monkey King Mech and Zane's Titan Mech.
It feels like as if they once intended to redesign those large Technic click-joints so the bricks would properly fit on top of them but for whatever reason never did and they couldn't be arsed to revamp the sets, either.

I was very impressed with this house. Garage door slides well, kitchen folds out to make it easier. A little to many seeming needless smooth flat pieces but I guess that is the Friends style.

Because it is a cool house with a garage door that slides well and a kitchen that fold out to make it easier like I said.

Maybe it'll look better in person, but I'm not sold on it even though I do like big set pieces like this (skull dungeon was a top set for me last year)
Doesn't help that I don't have any other monkey kid sets, so I would have liked more variety in the figures besides a bunch of monkeys

I'm leaning more towards buying but I'm waiting for jang's review to see all its flaws and make my mind. For what it's worth, the other minifigs in the theme are nothing like the monkeys in this set, so the monkies would be out of place even if you had other minifigs.

i have a story idea for LT Jack and his team, but not in the greatest of details besides being inspired by Star Fox, and i want to pay tribute to the 90s era of LEGO Space Sub themes. i mean i know LEGO's been paying homage to space but that's just 1980 something, blue/grey classic space, it's only one fraction of the overall theme. where's M-tron? I think a review will help.
I think what kills it for me is those stickers on the sloped column pieces. It looks like a chinese knockoff designs and I'm afraid that without them, the stone pillars will look like just BURP pieces despite not being such
The right side looks fantastic, so I'm hopeful a clean version will look similar

There's no point in making something out of a bunch of bricks when you can use one of these and add a couple pieces on top and get the same effect.

haven't got digital instructions, but for these master builder academy sets I can say their instructions are actually worth having, when you can get them for a good price. Really nicely done, with some building tips and ideas and a few alt builds.

White pieces turn yellow as the flame-retardant chemical that's added to the plastic begins to break down.

Modern Lego pieces don't use that flame retardant so in theory they shouldn't yellow from age alone.
