I cant find any new godzilla vs king figures, no new wave of MOTU origins, and no new wave of vintage collection. I hope these companies go bankrupt and its employees kill themselves for their shit distribution

Do you live in northern Massachusetts by any chance? I have the same problems there. I think the issue is that the stores only order one of each and so if you don’t get it when you see it then it will be gone forever. Also, it helps if you go everyday so you see when new stuff gets put out.

Lately ive been having to just buy things online. As much as i hate paying scalper prices for things i spend so much time looking for these figures out in stores and then after a while i give up and buy them on ebay. Which i hate because the mail is extra slow and it usually takes two weeks to get here. I also fucking hate how stores seemed to not have been getting anything since late janurary/early feburary

Walmart anon here, mostly all of the collectibles shit like neca, lightning collection, Black Series, jurassic world etc. have no reliable time frame when product arrives.
Partially it's walmarts problem due to they quite really give no shits about the toy department 11 months out of the year and partially because the toy companies barely give a rats ass about getting product out in a timely manner fron initial release to walmart when they can sell much better through places like BBTS and darkside or even pulse.

Hell the action figure section was reset in January and we only recently got in a single box of the pterodactyls and we've had 1 box each of lightning collection and black series in the last 6 months.

Only company that's been reliable is playmates and their tidal wave of GVK stuff, dont pay scalper prices on any of that shit all stores are restocking playmates stuff weekly.

Thing is both companies pay to have the shit exclusive, difference between em is Target tends to try to get at least a few of the exclusives in each store whereas Walmart does it just to blow money and then never orders the exclusives for most stores.

When I worked at Walmart, toys was the last thing to be touched and there were times where it didn't get touched for over a week. I remember one year the Power Rangers toys didn't get changed out until three weeks after the show started airing. This issue is compounded by mod changes, which are handed down by home office and rarely ever actually line up with the store's layout. Mod changes have also been fucked up by the big shift in boy-targeted toys.

i work at a retailer, they only order cheap shit and collector focused lines rarely come in, if it's mattel it's barbie and hot wheels, if it's hasbro it's spiderman roleplay toys and disney princess merch, seeing that rare nugget of 1/12 collector stuff is remarkable, that's for sure, and it's usually pilfered before it touches the shelf

First episode amuro talks about the gundam feeling alive and reacting to his thoughts and the targeting computer making its own decisions. Later this is expanded through various shows like gundam unicorn. Basically anything with a psychoframe is alive. Also in narrative, there is a fully sentient gundam that does not require a pilot.

Its very clear the intention is that gundams are living beings, and are always described as such.

thats some massive strecthing. besides even if the gundam had some advanced AI to help out in operation, thats not the same thing as sentient intelligence. You might as well say real life Drones are 'living beings' because they have AI to help keep the thing flying right so you only have to put in minimal effort to control them.

There is a massive difference between basic AI systems to help the gundam operate smoothly and more unique situations like the Narrative Gundam or Mobile Dolls. As a rule of thumb Gundams aren't themselves alive, and most jabber about 'connecting' with the gundam is spiritual symbolism metaphore stuff that Japan loves to wank to.

Not to mention all that shit like "walmart/target exclusive" that I can't even order online without being raped on price by scalpers.

Every time I want something the only way is to grab them on Amazon before they run out of stock, had to did it for Jazwares Halo figures, for Lanard's Aliens, and for Mattel's Jurassic Park.
Ever since Disney took over Star Wars I can't even find VC figures in store like since 2015

I want the newest Godzilla vs Kong toys, they came out one fucking year ago in the US and I can't order them on Amazon while they're listed yet because no stock.
