What have you got for cutting implements? A paper clip (get one on the larger side, or at least one that isn't coated, as those use a pretty malleable gauge of wire) will get the job done, but if you've got some dikes or a pair of pliers with a cutter you can use something heavier like a push-pin or finishing nail.

Finally got Goku: A Saiyan Raised on Earth at Target. I have a question--why are Figuarts so expensive compared to other action figures? US and Japanese action figures are (mostly) made in China with usually the same amount of plastic. So why the price lift?
Anonymous
Quoted By:
>>8906762 >Usually the same amount of plastic Maybe, maybe not, but there a lot more parts involved in a SHF than, say, a Marvel Legend. So, that's a lot of parts to cut off of sprues and then clean up and paint.
I also don't know what plastic western figures use, the gummy-ish ones?, but there's a lot more plastic variation I think involved with SHFs, I think usually put that info in websites or something. PVC, ABS, POM, though not sure if they use that last one. I know some, like, maybe Figma I think use those for their joints since it's a much much stronger material than ABS.
There's also licensing and usual corporate greed sometimes.

>>8926553 It's not like Bandai can't produce a great figure, their Toku stuff is great. People rave about their Dragonball output (not for me, but people swear by it) and the Robot Damashii ANIME line is pure engineering enjoyment.
Their early Iron Man figures were great too but something has clearly made them not want to make the same amount of effort anymore.
However they must be making some profit from it to keep churning out the subpar content, probably just kept as a training ground for new staff or some shit.
