I browse /toy/ irregularly, mostly when I'm drunk or when work is slow. I'm a big fan of figures and don't collect alot, but one thing I've noticed over the years is how some folks here trash on certain companies a massive amount. I do get some of the hate, but most of it baffles me.
I've got figures from Hasbro, Mcfarlene, Figma, plus Bandai model kits and some SH stuff, but last year I nabbed pic related on a sale along with a couple other Bring Arts kits as my first of the line.
Obviously Mcfarlene has seen a decline in figure quality and Figma has pretty good quality. I like the old Hasbro Star Wars lineup for actual play but I wanted to try out Bring Arts as I've seen much hate about it and always thought they were too pricey for what you get, but that's not the point of this thread. The biggest complaint I see about Bring Arts figures isn't price, it's the quality of paint, plastic, joints, etc.
Almost a year later and the figure seems to still hold up, I'm not sure I understand the universal revile people seem to have for the quality of BringArts and was hoping some anons could shed some light on why they hate BringArts figures in particular, and maybe share some of their opinions on build and detail quality of other lines to help me understand what /toy/ thinks is an ideal figure.
