Anyone here collect Mego figures? I bought the Creatures from the black lagoon today and it's pretty neat. Not sure if I should take it off the card though.

I'm definitely interested in the other Classic Universal monsters and the LOTR line. The upcoming ultraman and Aang look pretty cool as well

I like Mego figures alot. Got some old ones along with some of the more modern stuff. They're both cheap & toyetic in a fun way that you don't see in most collector lines.
It's just a shame that I never see cool figures like Gillman, Ultraman, and Flash on the shelves. All my Wal-Marts carry are the modern horror figures, which I'm not a fan of. Target stopped selling Megos after the wrath of Tootie & Norm figures clogged the shelves.

And while I'm here on the subject of Megos, can anyone ID this Mego style Luchadore figure?

I found him for a buck at a flea market. His upper torso is like a He-Man, but his lower torso is of a old Mego. He has no markings saying who the manufacturer is or date. Not even a "Made in China" stamp. Would like to eventually get him some pants and some boots.

He's part of a somewhat generico line called "the magnificent wrestler". The entire line was comprised of generic no name luchadors in cloth outfits. The company that made them was also responsible for a line called "super dinosaurs" or something. They were dinosaur headed superheroes that used the same bodies. I believe the company is based in peru.

Fuck, consider yourself lucky in that case. It's virtually impossible to get a hold of any of them on the after market now. Hell even the company that made them has up and disappeared. Which is a shame, because the last few waves they teased seemed pretty fucking fun.

Thanks for the ID, man! I'm pretty good at identifying old 80's figures, but even this one had me stumped. Googled them up and found the one I have is "La Fletcha." (AKA the Arrow.) They go for a pretty penny on eBay. Now I'm off to Classic TV Toys to get some pants, boots, and a belt for him. Hopefully in a good blue/yellow combination. Thanks again!
