>>8900187>It's not random at all?Are you kidding me? It's random as fuck because what affects the battle more than anything is the missing attacks, not the power behind them. The roulette only controls the strength of the attacks, not the chance to hit or dodge. You can have a full roulette and get your ass kicked, try again with the roulette to zero because you fucked up your timing and still win the battle beause you have been lucky enough to dodge most attacks and have your own attacks hit.
Most of the special big damage attacks you get once per battle with a full roulette get dodged again and again and again, and after that single roulette your control over the battle is absolutely zero unless you're lucky to get a burst chance. On the Version Complete you can choose to swap a digimon or wait to evolve so you can extend your health bar for the last turn, and at the very least you know that if your digimon has failed to attack it's your damn fault because you didn't mash the button enough. On the 2020 one it's just the game doing whatever, you almost have no control.
I'm still enjoying it, but saying that it isn't really random is just fooling yourself.
