Why is it always that neat ideas are always executed with piss poor quality? I already broke one of the parts (the plastic split) simply from inserting a ball to its joint socket, and things just keep falling off from the lightest of touch

Yeah, the one I purchased had some QC issues with some parts. I heard that they improved with the second batch, but I haven't purchased any since my first dumpster pack.

My motion motor seized up and broke after I put a part that was too big for it to spin in the hole.

This was a great concept, but for how easy it is to break parts, and how hard it is for other parts to stay together, I don't think they're very good children's toys.

Because new ideas are risky and thus get a smaller investment. Either that or their novelty makes them difficult to execute correctly.

NEW products are generally untested for real life use and longevity, so that is generally why they seem to break easier than everything else.

Also, since the factories are new to the concept, they generally don't have the experience to make a consistently good product.

This is also why season 1s for almost every TV show isn't as good as later seasons.

I don't think the two are comperable. First seasons are usually not as good because the writers are figuring out what works for their show as far as tone and dialogue and all that. Animation improves as artists get comfortable working with character designs or raised budgets due to popularity.

Toy products improve through improved engineering and materials.

Same shit.
Initial shit needs to be improved, because of the creators involved not having everything figured out yet.
The first products released are always going to be rough and can always be improved based on consumers' reactions (for both physical products and tv/movies/books/etc).

Here's a pretty good example of how a toy company improved after their first wave was just mediocre as fuck.
