any advice on buying stuff from ebay
i want to buy this figma but the price seems kinda low
is that normal
usally figmas are kinda expensive so ten dollars seems suspicious

Bootlegs are about 1/3 the price of a real figma. The best way to not buy bootlegs are to go into the upper right corner, Advanced, and only enable shipping from your region. Everything from china is fake.

Always read the descriptions of things; if they're actually reputable they will straight up tell you it's fake. Always check the ratings and reviews for the vendors too for this reason. That's pretty much all you have to do.
Read the description of stuff and look at the vendor reviews. Also don't bid on things until the last minute.

This would be easy to reverse scam. Buy it and open a Ebay case stating that it is a bootleg. You are almost guaranteed to win, will get a strike on the seller's account and will likely get to keep the figure for free.

Not necessarily wrong. A lot of these fakes are made using the real molds that fell off of trucks and such shit. They just haven't been QCed like a collector would like.

And some are total horseshit. It's a crap shoot.

I wouldn't risk it, the older figures are usually older bootlegs and they tend to suck. Bootlegs have only recently started getting half-decent on occasion.

Still like 95% of the time bootlegs are not worth it at all.

No they aren't, they tend to make cheap copies of molds maade from the real deal with subpar plastics and joints, the only ones with good quality are PAK ones and transformers bootlegs especially masterpieces because they are mostly rejects or made from the actual factory in off hours.

When Im on ebay, I always switch my search filter to "lowest price first" and guaranteed the first half of the results are bootlegs from China. I ignore all those. Ebay needs to crack the fuck down on all this bootleg shit.
