Charity stores are especially nice. Its going to be way under priced and go to a good cause. I've gotten many new hard to find or OOP books this way.

My wife works at a thrift store and I've trained her to look for vintage stuff for both myself and toys in general for reselling. I average over $1000 a month in profit and I get to use her discount.

Flea markets and catching people slipping when they sell wholesale lots. I buy toys in bulk then proceed to catalog them and resell them on ebay if their value is high enough. If it's cheap common stuff it goes to my nieces, she loves all the little ponys I come across. Sold a really rare one for like 20 so it covered my costs on that lot. You aren't gonna find cheap deals unless lady luck hits and you are looking in unconventional places.

Toy stores gouge and flea markets are incredibly hit or miss depending where you live (my local flea markets stopped being worth going to around 1999 when it became nothing but produce, used clothing, and people buying out of date toiletries and over the counter meds to sell dirt cheap to people who don't check to expiration date).
