>>8915452Super glue does not do that at all. It's an adhesive not a solvent.
>>8915554Depends on the paint and the plastic. Alcohol will be the absolutely least harm to most any plastic a figure comes made in, but only is effective at stripping away paints like acrylic you yourself painted, no good on factory paint. Acetone is much stronger and can affect factory paint to a degree but will damage plastic if you full on soak it but evaporates fast enough you are fine with just dipping a paper towel in it and scrubbing away. Just don't over expose the part. Some factory paints will be strong enough that they resist the acetone to almost the same degree as the plastic it is painted on rendering safe stripping very dicey.
>>8916173To extend on the other poster due to the nature of model cement it is NOT a universal glue, it is chemically designed to melt the plastic it is applied to then evaporate away letting the plastic garden back to normal. You smoosh the two softened plastic sides together and when they harden it should form a complete weld between the two parts. However this does not work on EVERY type of plastic, strictly the plastics most commonly used in model kits. Pretty sure generic model cement is fine with the plastic 40k kits. It however will be useless on the resin and metal 40k kits, as well as not being of much use when using greenstuff to modify poses.
>>8916201Make sure you get specifically model kit paint and not some generic craft paint. Vallejo is very forgiving for beginners.
