Real talk: I wish I still had mine from when I was a kid. The only guy I still have is rock crusher. Sometimes I fantasize about getting some then parts swapping & repainting them to make customs. I’m too lazy though. Also you reminded me I need to buy a few loose guys as I got some weapons in a gi Joe lot. The weapons are expensive on eBay but the figs are cheap.

Ironsides & Hardtop were probably my favorite. Just a slick looking dude and a really rad vehicle. Powder Keg was my second favorite, followed by Buttons McBoom Boom. They were all really fun toys, though.

The line wasn't succesful enough to last for a third year, but the unreleased toys of 1990 showed that Hasbro saw that new Batman movie making a ton of money and they immediately pivoted to "MAKE CROOKS WHO ARE EVIL CLOWNS" to cash in as hard as possible. Kinda neat, but I can imagine that people would say this would be the "shark jumping" moment had it actually happened.

I think he left toy art around then. Ive an interview he did saying that toy design on staff wasnt very profitable for him and he took an oppertunity to do some work for dc instead.
