The other day I was replacing o-rings in some old vintage figs and I accidentally stripped the screw, it was rusted so bad. Anyone know a good replacement screw for the torso piece?

ebay has some sets of screws and o-rings that are sold together for joes. I'm skeptical how well those screws would fit though; especially to replace a screw that was stripped. Probably better to scavenge a screw from another figure from the same year.

The screws used in joes often change threads from year to year, factory to factory, so it's best to be careful picking a replacement to make sure you don't strip the screw-hole by using a screw that has different thread counts.

Well, I literally had to cut the throat of Ambush, cut off the head and graft the head of Snake on the ball joint. I screwed it on the ball joint using a thin screw. After that it was easy to re-assemble the joe body.

A historical line might have been fun. Endless subjects and existing storyline to mess with. Could have given us samurai and mongol archers and knights and pirates and WWI soldiers and shit.
Give us small waves of 2 to 6 for each time period and call it GI Joe World Warriors or something.

I wish we could get joes with this level of engineering simplicity again. maybe add in an ankle pivot but keep the rest the same. Back to unique but simpler body molds instead of generic bodies with webbing/vests. Modern joes are too fiddly and awkward to play with.

The 1997 TRU anniversary figs have some great repaints, but they're so damn cheaply made. The details are blurry and sloppy, there's little things like unpainted shoulder rivets, and they're overall a noticably lower grade. It's a shame. Cobalt blue Baroness would have been a fine addition to the collection.

Hasbro lost the mold to the original body, just like how they completely lost the mold to Snake Eyes 2, the first Dusty, and others.

They also lost the molds to a lot of Transformers like the Dinobots. I remember the early 2000s reissue craze with Hasbro catching a lot of crap for losing (or throwing away) so much.

I really hated the Python Patrol as a kid. I wanted more of those Cobra figures, and seeing another opportunity to get them had me ecstatic, but neon yellow? YELLOW? The VvV line had a much better color scheme (cant post it because we've reached image limit)
