I have a bunch of old bionicle stuff I wanna get rid of and I’m trying to get a rough estimate of what it’s worth. Does anyone know what color bionicle weapons usually are? They’re pretty much all listed as available in either flat silver or pearl light grey, but I can’t tell the difference.

I was just wondering, because i bought a couple of random stormtroopers and other star wars figures on aliexpress, and the storm troopers have their legs printed on all sides.
I tried to find the set these were copied from, but with no success.

Now there's an interesting thing. This 6 wide 60s LEGO set had working steering (you use brick at the top to turn front wheels - it goes through that while pine all the way down to wheels) and opening doors. Meanwhile 2021 City or SpeedChampions can't even get proper doors! Technology my ass.

Where do you keep your lego /lg/?
I feel kinda ghetto but comfy storing technic pieces in a chocolate box, meanwhile white and trans-neon studs, along short pins and blue pin-bars go all in the same box because they are abundant and easy to tell apart. Though I'm gonna need more chocolates for bushes and rings, they can't stay in that box.

The best way to find the Castaway is to feel for the stud w/hole that forms the base of the hermit crab shell. If you shake the bag it will land in the bottom corner. I was able to find two castaways by using this method.

His is the only fig in this wave that comes with that piece.

The frame around a sticker on the sticker sheet is almost always exactly the size of the part the sticker is supposed to go on. You cut out the sticker along the lines of the frame and match it to the part to see how it fits. Then you bend the sticker a little, peal off part of the sticker (I usually peel off about 30%), cut off the paper underneath the sticker, align the other part of the sticker to the plate and slowly lower the sticky part to the plate. If it looks good you peel off the rest of the sticker and apply the rest. Here's the video I learned it from.

There's a 2nd part with a more complicated technique for round tiles but you can use it for square tiles, too, to get the failure ratio even lower.

It takes about 4 times as long to apply a sticker with this technique (even more if it's your first time) but I don't have regrets about any sticker I applied using this technique. I watch him to see the new sets before I buy them. If he still hasn't reviewed half of the sets from the last wave and disappears for two weeks he's useless. can't help you man, but by the look of the model, you should be able to connect it to the flat backside, but the connection would be rather weak, because of the inner groove it would only hold half the stud's height.

On the front side (the one with the detailing, and the deeper hole) the hole is not wide enough to fit a 1x1 round stud or brick into it.

when I am unsure about stuff like that I like to check the pieces while they are transparent, you can see some details that can give you an idea.
As I said, the because of the indent the connection would be a bit weak. I suggest you look for another piece or instead of a stud connection, you can try using a technic pin with bar (61184) and use the open round stud pieces like 85861 or 3062b on the bar.

UV rays are the biggest factor. I did the h2o2 treatment with random old parts but they are much worse off than before. Just 2 months after the procedure they yellowed again despite returning to the sunlight-free room I keep them in. I guess the % was not enough but it was like 20 or 15%. Too high and plastic becomes brittle, which is also an issue of parts aging, wonder what to do about that except glueing lol. But really, it gets on my nerves how 80% of my droid arms break after a year of normal connection with bars unless it is with parts from the same set.

Had better whitening results with a spray bottle for making hair blonde, includes h2o2 but no idea what exactly is in it or how much. Stored that one test Stormtrooper away in the dark since 2018 and it is still white. But I need to do some more testing to be really sure, don't want to ruin my OGs any more than they are already.

I really want the Lego City Shopping Street set, but the 80$ price tag is fucking insane. It's something you expect for licensed themes like Star Wars, not Lego City. is $650 for this brand new in the box a decent deal? There's someone I know willing to sell it to me for this price but I've never dropped that much cash at once for a set. It's something I've always wanted but could never afford, the biggest set I have is the Disney Castle.

650 is still very pricey for me but it's cheaper than the retail price of $800, but more expensive than 600 which I saw at Wal-Mart a while ago. I'm not sure if this thing will ever be back in stock. Ebay is no help in gauging the price. Do you anons think I should just bite the bullet and get it? Or should I just spend $250 and get the chink shit equivalent on AliExpress or something

the price is so egregiously cheaper that it's a temptation. The only thing I've ever gotten was a knock-off Wall-E for literally $20 from AliExpress, and the quality was identical at least to me. But that was a small set, I don't think I would feel right getting a massive set off of there

What are the best sets to buy that offer the most pieces for the cheapest price? The actual building of something new is therapeutic for me, so I don't care much for the theme so long as it has a lot of pieces and takes a long time.

It's a doubled edged sword. On one hand, it's nice to know something you've spent a lot of money and time on has appreciated and is special, but on the other hand, collecting more becomes more expensive and more difficult, and you don't really reap any benefit less you actually sell the stuff you do have.

I also picked up a bunch of sets sealed that I planned on building on special occasions when I got a bigger space, and now that they've become harder to find and more expensive, it's hard to justify doing so. I have a sealed Neptune Discovery Lab that I've been wanting to crack open but there's only two for sale now and the cheapest one is a ludicrous $700...

I got that one 4 years back. I actually found it on kijiji (craigslist in canada). A guy's mother hid it in a closet for his birthday but then he wanted a bike, so she bought him that and planned on returning it. Then it went past the return date so it was saved for another birthday and then forgotten about. I have the original Zellers receipt from 1996 and plastic bag for it too.

I mean, it sounds plausible enough. The Hidden Side is app is more fun if you DON'T spend money on the sets but play the free ghost mode. All of LEGO's ventures into online videogame territory has ended horribly, the only good LEGO games are the classics that avoid online interaction. I have two and they're surprisingly on par with the official Lego ones. One blue one I bought from Five Below, and another I bought recently from Dollar Tree in brown. We'll see how long that one lasts, but so far both have good clutch power and everything.

If you're sorting all your sets as you break them down the disincentive is that it takes for fucking ever so you want less junk sets. If you are just dumping it into a tub or whatever and you can afford it, who cares? I personally stay away from sets with lots of technic pieces on the inside as I never build with them and I hate sorting them.

I would add that it looks very big compared to regular Lego trains and will not go through any tunnels you might have built. Looks cool though and the problems are an easy fix. Runs way better than the emerald night at least.

The Chamber of Secrets set is basically a remake of 4709 and 4730 combined. They even put the crystal ball inside the Great Hall ceiling.
And it's marketed as 20th anniversary. I think the green roof is a wink to the original sets.
