>>8942322Yep, I agree that Corona has definitely shit on my collecting habits.
I like buying stuff in person, so i almost always hold off on buying anything until reviews start coming out. But by the time reviews came out, most preorders and online stores have already sold out.
Before, this didnt matter, because i could always go down to my local nerd store or find it at at Walmart/Target for the mass market stuff. But now, i can't find shit. I wanted to get into the Transformers RED figures but all my local walmarts have had shit, but i rarely have gone to these because of Corona. The stores i did go to regularly, multiple times a week, they don't carry Transformers RED.
Since Corona, all the nerd conventions have been shut down. So getting good prices for aftermarket toys, like RED, I'm shut out of. It also means i haven't been able to buy as many imports as i wanted, along with higher end western toylines. Conventions were great, becasue hundreds of nerd retailers could sell all their wares in one place versus the less than a dozen nerd retailers in my entire county.
Also, corona has also fucked up with supplies and stocking situations. PLUS, important cross promotions for movie shit has delayed/killed toylines (Wonder Woman, Dune, Eternals, etc etc).
So it's very hard for toy companies to drum up their toylines if even the media is bombing.
