Distribution for that wave was terrible, so most places didn't get it. I remember seeing it in Florida around release, but didn't get it since I don't buy movie toys. Also, it's a way better toy than the MPM, and it's also a factor on why it's so expensive in the aftermarket.

Pretty much this. Also the character is popular, the figure is good with a 3rd party upgrade kit that makes it even better among other things. Best hope they re release it under the ROTF or DOTM. Also keep an eye on BBTS. Sometimes they get older SS figures but don’t make an announcement about it

Sharp edgy metal with millions of little pieces moving is what I can figure. I will admit when I was younger the first movie blew me away with the designs and transformations. The later movies didn’t wow me as much and I was burned out by 4&5.

The Last Knight felt so bottom-of-the-barrel. The medieval theme and the source of magic being cybertronian just killed my interest in general. even international markets felt it for once. then with all the hype of it being a final chapter, it ends with a cliffhanger anyways

Not true, that only applies to figures that are already hard to get to begin with, you could easily get many toys for MSRP or cheaper a year or so after release. Shit, most of the Siege line was cheap as fuck on the aftermarket, you could buy almost half the line for 50% off in late 2019 and early 2020 (this even applied to Select figures). It's only a problem now thanks to Covid.

Lol I spent 90 to get him in a loose set of six including barricade and longhaul which I now have two of. I thought I was being autistic but I wanted a complete devastator even though I knew they would just reissue him when they finished. Now one piece goes for more than I paid for the whole 6.

There was actually an attempt to make ALIEN robots look like aliens. I loved the idea of the protoforms and the weird organic looking designs. It was refreshing. The knights thing that came later on was silly, but still had a charm to it. Square bricks drawn with a ruler are less interesting, if I'm being honest.

Movie MPs and 3Ps are such an intimidating area for me because as soon as the standard comes out an improved 3P version is out. Besides, with so many of those companies going out its impossible to catch up now. The best Movie Optimus is oversized and can't scale with the other MPs which is a shame to me.

I really fucking regret not getting the studio series Jet Wing Optimus Prime from Dark of the Moon, I have the ROTF Prime with the two swords and the 2007 movie version combined with Jet Fire and I always meant to get Jet Wing but kept putting it off because I thought no rush with so many reviews saying it was lackluster now it goes for $150 fuck me I loved Jet Wing prime I ended up buying the old leader class Jet Wing Prime the amazon version which is nice but not as movie accurate

Yeah. They should've called the ShardFormers. I can buy that Sunbow designs probably would've needed some changes but Bay's designs are just ugly beyond belief. It's like the classic designs were sacrificed for nothing.
