I really wish there was some kind of easily available figurine line I could just have fun and not sweat to collect.

Just walk into a store, and get a pack every once and a while without the need to preorder or import half a year ahead of time, or have to worry about either scalpers buying up everything, or stores just not stocking more than a single case each year.

One of the pieces of merch for Disney’s infamous Alien Encounter attraction was this sick figure of the starring alien itself. Something really neat too is that the packaging is based on the teleporter from the ride.

Besides doing Mars Attacks and Independence Day toylines, Trendmasters also had a toyline called operation bug (which was kind of like mattel’s mad scientist but with alien bugs).

those alien encounter figures fluctuate in price and are sort of a pain to track down. They only pop up every so often on ebay and typically range from 50 bucks loose to over 100 if it comes in its packaging. I got really lucky and managed to get one in box for around 56 but it took a while of looking for one.

This was one of the best aspect of trendmasters. The licenses they cherry picked all clicked with one another in one form or another, so once they made a generic line, they just served as bridges between their licenses. These bugs would fit in just fine alongside Mars Attacks as they would Godzilla.
