Toy-related scams

No.8977150 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Anyone fallen for a scam while buying/selling toys? I sold a figure on ebay and a guy (not the buyer) messaged me asking if I had others in the same line. I do, in my private collection. He offered me a considerable sum of money for them with no negotiation, way more than they are worth to me and probably a lot more than they would go for on the open market. Naturally i checked out his feedback and he has a lot of feeback as a buyer 100% positive from many sources. So he looks legit but I'm on a hair-trigger alert for scam. Eg on a FB group I'm in one guy sold a figure on Ebay there was a dispute, the guy refunded the seller's money and the buyer sent the figure back. But the figure turned out to be a worthless one instead of the valuable original and ebay didn't give two shits so the guy lost his money and ended up doxxing and threatening the fraudster online. Should I go ahead with this transaction?
