If we don't see it capable of movement without flexing IRL chances are it's for posing purposes. In addition, don't see how well it'll stand up to an opponent.

My money says it's an inflatable tube of translucent plastic with a bright LED in the base, or like the other guy said something akin to a tape measure but in tube form. Guaranteed it doesn't retract convincingly and can't be swung around without going floppy or else they would have shown that too.

If the LEDs are strong enough and they probably will be it should look fine in person, but they're probably fragile as fuck and can't be swung around too hard.
