As I recall the idea was that the good guys were animal chimera soldiers, but beyond quillroy and sham (bat rhino porcupine and chameleon) every one of the good guys was just really lame and uninteresting. I guess el rey had some potential as a weird manta ray shark man, but his design coukd be better. Albert on the other hand (a fusion of a monkey and a bull) is just dogshit regardless.
