>>8996562I mean, just going from the first two waves of Kingdom and the SS86 wave in regards to Deluxes:
Paleotrex/Ractonite: Gimmick Fossilizers. Fun, not great for first figure
Warpath/Huffer: Minibots, so generally smaller than the average figure.
Blackarachnia/Arcee: Lithe fembots, with BA being pretty small in mass and Arcee being a complete shellformer.
Cheetor/Airazor: Beastformers that have to deal with parts not pegging in for beast articulation and lack of proper weapons.
Kup: corpse face
Blurr: Bogdanoff face and sleeves
Jazz: clear plastic roof/backpack, knees don't peg in comfortably
Honestly out of all of those either Jazz or Huffer would probably be the best first figure, but they all have flaws. Now, a lot of these flaws are lessened or removed if you understand the compromises that needed to be made and/or buy the whole wave, but in terms of a single figure showing off the quality of the modern toy line, you really need to bump up a size class to get a good representative.
