Of all the things this could've been they went with the dumbest possible option. Just so incredibly lazy and cheap to do an all black Ranger body versus tooling a Space Ranger flight suit which could've been used for 3 other figures. The chest tampo is so random and retarded, why the fuck would he have the image of a playing card on his chest? It doesn't even have a different Andros head. This is just an absolute waste of what could've been a potentially awesome figure.

He didn't in the show, but his old toys came with it, and he uses it in the Legacy Wars mobile game. The core Turbo Rangers already have a sidearm, blade, and personal weapon, so no way would they get a Turbo Navigator as well.

Also the wording used during it's tease heavily implied Phantom. "It's MYSTERIOUS" "Hopefully the answer will REVEAL itself".

The stupid tampo is meant to evoke "Flashes of Darkonda" (in which he was unmorphed under the cloak). Civilian MMPRs could be done with pretty minimal tooling. For instance a basic pants sculpt for the guys. Could be painted as jeans, khakis, etc. You could easily do all the guys lower bodies with this.

The torso and arms are where you could make some different parts for variation. The lower torso could be a basic shirt sculpt, tucked and untucked. Upper torso could be done as a crew neck and tank top. Arms could be made in bare, t-shirt, and long sleeve variations. You could make a lot of civilian attire by mixing those parts together.

I never liked that effect for Zedd. His electricity always tended to be white in the show, so the one that comes with the Tenga is perfect for Zedd. Some of the effect parts are really randomly colored. Like the first Goldar coming with a purple effect part. Or some Rangers coming with randomly colored effects, while others get color coordinated ones (Red Zeo gets a blue Zeo Laser Pistol effect, while Green Zeo gets the same effect in Green).

You can kitbash it with one of your MMPR Tommy figures, the same way you can kitbash Sky as Red Ranger and Bridge as Blue and Red Ranger.

Hell, I would not be shocked if Jack/Red Ranger's figure to start selling for Kimberly/MMPR Pink level money (IE $100+) once Bridge gets a wide release, due to people buying him simply to create Red Ranger Bridge.

No way they won't finish the team. Even Triassic I would say is highly likely. Though I hope we get yellow before black as it would complete the core team, and the core team with white makes for a better display than everyone but yellow. Also Tommy has other representation.

They’ve only got two more each to finish off In Space and Dino Thunder, and only need SPD Yellow to finish that team too. Hopefully those get finished in single exclusives or something. I’m still chapped that they’ve started Lost Galaxy, Zeo, and Time Force, with no sign of any rangers in future waves.

If the leak is true and Zeo Yellow and In Space Pink are wave 10 we'll only need one more member to complete each team. SPD only needs Yellow to complete the main team (I know there's still Kat and Nova, but they're single episode characters who are far from essential). Dino Thunder only needs two, and one is Tommy so you know that's coming. They've started making progress on Galaxy again so we're now halfway there. Wave 11 could theoretically complete Zeo, In Space, SPD, and get us one closer to finishing Galaxy. There's also the potential of another wave of two packs aiding in completion (I have a strong feeling we'll get Galaxy Pink in a two-pack with a Savage Sword Psycho Pink). Moral of the story, several teams are on the cusp of being completed, so a Turbo tease is perfectly fine.

We've gotten 4/6 and Tanya leaked as part of wave 10. Hasbro also teased her in their Fan First Friday with a trivia question. Every other trivia question had a figure announced, so she's definitely coming.

When you look at what's left you realize how poorly Hasbro planned these waves.

>Dino Charge - 5 males, 2 females

That's 12 males and 14 females, and that's with Dino Charge padding the male numbers. So I'm not surprised to see a new team being teased, and Turbo has a 5 to 2 male/female ratio when factoring in Phantom/Senturion, so that makes it a decent choice. Alien Rangers are 4 to 1, Ninja Storm is 5 to 1, and Jungle Fury is 7 to 1 when taking Spirit Rangers into account, so I wouldn't be surprised to see either of those teams sooner rather than later to help offset the glut of females Hasbro has left themselves with. They shot themselves in the foot by not having a female in every wave, so it'll be interesting to see if wave 10 does in fact have two females, and how future waves will break down.

It's just a tease so it could be a while still before it's released, and it's a tease for Phantom specifically, who ties in to Space and has a one shot comic coming out this summer. I do expect to see the Turbo team next year though since Hasbro keeps mentioning anniversaries, and it'll be the 25th.

Fully expecting Psycho Pink to get a rerelease with Galaxy Pink and a savage sword, hopefully a couple swords. We might see that again with Psycho Yellow and Galaxy Yellow, or even Psycho Black and Galaxy Green. I imagine all of those will only sell about as well as the Psycho Galaxy Red 2-pack, but they are only currently available behind a $100 box so who knows.
I got sidetracked. Point is, they’re avoiding the trap Bandai fell into with Legacy, and they’ve come up with a couple ways to get people to buy females outside of just case assortments, which is good.
