>>9018044>Some of these prices get crazy.Yeah, all the Monsterarts figures went up massively in price on the aftermarket. They already trended up in value after release, but in recent years it's gotten more extreme. Mandarake is the best place to stalk when looking for "reasonably" priced out of production Monsterarts. I have the names a few figures that I want favorited so that if a new one gets put up I get an email so I can try and buy it as fast as possible. You can also post and lurk in the WTS/WTB threads here on /toy/. Anons here usually are nicer about pricing than assholes on ebay, though not always. Then there are facebook groups where people swap and sell figures, but that's always a crapshoot, sometimes you get people like the anon from the last threat who sold a Spacegodzilla for MSRP +shipping and other times you get people who fully believe in parting you from as much money as possible.
>Articulation is a big thing for me so I will looking into some NECA thingsUnfortunatly the NECA line is dead, and a huge amount of the aftermarket NECA figures are actually Chinese bootlegs. I'm not a big fan of NECA's Heisei and Millenium figures, and their G14 and G19 figures are pretty limited in the articulation (plus G14 has a bendy wire tail), but their Showa figures are great. My 64 has some of the stiffest knee joints on any figure I've ever owned, but his tail, head and hands are really poseable. Their best figure though is still probably their 24inch long G14, but it's Monsterarts priced on the aftermarket.
Mezco is coming out with their D.A.M. collection, but those figures only have 5 points of articulation so that' probably not what you're looking for. Super7 has the licenses for all the monsters which is something NECA never shelled out the money for, and they are claiming that their figures are going to compete with the SHMA line. I will only believe that when I see it, but you should be an eye out for that in the near future.
