Cartoons used to have advertisements that were nothing but toys, pizza, cereal, candy.
It's hard to explain to a zoomer how big toys were. I guess they were as big as star wars or the Beatles. It was just constant ads.
The toy adverts were normally in Christmas catalogs or seasonal sales papers.
Toys were so fucking big, children's palace put out a ad tape that was like All That or SNL or you cant do that on television with nothing but toys.
