I just completed my collection of original Remco Mini Monsters. I don't normally collect a lotta retro shit but I love these little guys. I love monster shit in general

Its been a dream of mine to have a line of book/mythos-accurate classic monsters, or inspired by the artwork of artists like Bernie Wrightson and Ayami Kojima's work on Castlevania. I respect the universal designs a ton and will pick up NECA's stuff and hope they expand to Horror, but I've never been satisfied with any movie depiction of Dracula or frankenstein. Kojima's various Draculas are my favorites, with Wrightson being the definitive Frankenstein's monster, imo.

Or just give me a proper, articulated castlevania line based on the sprite games.

Me too. Castlevania could be the umbrella IP to get a whole bunch of classic monsters with similar ascetics instead of collecting from various lines. Pic related is a cool werebear, but the style wouldn't match something from Neca, like the upcoming Werewolf in London werewolf. Then there are the vampires from Mythic Legions which look cool, but again don't match stylistically.

What monster do you consider to be underrated? For me it's Jekyll and Hyde. For a character who is effectively the public domain Hulk, he's practically never been done justice in film. He either looks perfect and sucks narratively, or has a great narrative and looks like shit. For as big of a mess as Van Helsing was, it certainly gave us the most memorable Hyde. LOEG be damned for it's shit use of the character.
