Spidey didn't go away to fight in the Secret Wars, he never got the symbiote to replace his outfit, and that same symbiote was never transferred to Brock. Putting the spider symbol on makes absolutely no sense in the movie's narrative, and would likely just confuse normie viewers who are unfamiliar with Venom's comic origin. If anything, I think they should have the "vein" motif just be more prominent and focused around his chest area. Suggest the symbol more without actually doing it.
