>>9034537 non-durable goods is a legal category that prevents you from complaining to shoemakers about shoes wearing out (though shoes are only an example). Non-durable goods, such as shoes, are defined as only being expected to last at most three years. Now if you leave your shoes
on the shelf, especially if you never take them out of the box, they could obviously last a lifetime. Legally NECA figures are akin to shoes, they wear out if used and have to be replaced every three years. This is why they are said to be for display in box only, otherwise they have to admit that you're suppose to be rebuying them as they wear out. They are the only toymaker to have this designation as far as I can tell, as all other toys are under durable goods and are defined as lasting many years if not mistreated.
For the record, while there is trolling here, this is the only point I ever post on and my insistent posting on it isn't trolling. NECA makes an agreement by law with customers that these figures wear out if used, I'm just making sure potential customers are aware of that fact since I wasn't at the time of my purchase and wouldn't have made it had I known.
