The hobby is being strangled, only way to insure you get anything at a reasonable is by pre-ordering. And they major downsides are that your order might be lost, shipping is half the price or more. The product might not even look good when mass produced or has major QC issues but you can't even see it in person. You just roll the dice. Shit is so fucked.

Buying high end stuff was even more of a ratrace, I unofficially quit when HT did a better ROTJ Luke less than a year after I got my standard release. Cheapshit is fun, I don't have to worry about shipping a return if a joint is misassembled or there's a run in the cloth(which is something that happened to me all the time with Hot Toys...so many loose threads), and has surprisngly good resell value..and when they don't sell I can just toss them to my nephew guilt free.
