I feel like one of the other big goodsmile sins is that if they make a figma/nendo of a character, they don't always do a nendo/figma of that same character and they like to split characters between the two lines, so if they're your only means to get figures from a franchise you want it's very likely you'll just get a figma of the female character and a nendo of the male, or just a completely random mix of lines if they keep going with the franchise.

Model kits literally take minimal effort to be up to par with the detailing of most mainstream figure manufacturers. Learn to remove nubs and panel line and you can already make it look better than something Bandai puts out pre-built for twice the price.

And yet goodsmile still pumped out a nendo of MGS1 Snake, which also has a low-poly model head, and they would later go on to do multiple variants of low-poly Virtua Fighter characters as well as a Predator based on concept art and figures based on classic paintings.

The only thing that makes it more of a slap in the face to make the least iconic version of the character was not even having the decency to make Raiden to go with him and instead making a fucking Gurlukovich soldier.
