I ran into this weird majorette super speshul gold edition car today, anyone know anything about these? Are these rare? Is this a cheap knock off of super treasure hunts Majorette is doing? All I know is that I saw one on ebay for 49 dollaronies so even if it isn't worth anything it's still a pretty neat find.

Still drooling over the new Cadzzilla I got. Was lamenting how hard it was to get a look inside, then I noticed the chassis was only held together with screws. I love when 1/64 cars get good interiors. I was impressed by the column shifter and painted steering wheel; it even has grips molded into the backside.

Post more cars with good interiors?

It stands for Super Treasure Hunt. It's a mainline casting EXCEPT it has better paint apps, usually spectraflame paint and rubber tires. To be honest, the Auto World castings are a LOT better than these. But since they are "rare", one in every 10 or so cases, people scalp the crap out of them. $30.00+ usually. I've found ONE in a case I ordered, and ONE at a store. In 10+ years of collecting that's pathetic! Scalpers have destroyed this hobby!

Nice haul! The Bugatti is always hard as hell to find! The color shifters are nice for customs. By that I mean they are the only Hot Wheels with the nickel plated axles, or FTE's (Faster Than Ever) as they used to be called. The Doughnut car, meh. I do like some fantasy castings, but the Hot Dog griller, the tooligan, and the doughnut, not big on those.

Part of me wanted to say that Hot Wheels was just trying to make car hunting a bit more exciting, but they probably knew full well that doing shit like that would lead to scalpers buying up entire cases even moreso than usual, and just didin't give a fuck about the average consumer.

Mach 5's really all I got. There are some other great anime cars I'd love to own in Hot Wheels' "Charawheels" line from Japan, but they're all stupid expensive, now. Glad I jumped on Mach 5 when I had the chance, at least.

You sir are correct! EVERY hobby has been taken over by scalpers, like a freaking disease or virus. They made probably $500+ on toy cars. Sorry for the rant but these thieves have made a fun hobby and turned it into a sick and disgusting environment. Collecting used to be people looking and finding items they wanted. Or in the least meeting fellow collectors who may trade or help out. Now? I had a dude offer to sell me a Die-cast car he hadn't paid for yet? A $0.99 car he wanted $30.00 for! What a joke!

I've noticed young people don't realize they're allowed to be polite to customer service to get what they want. I see this shit all the time on sites with threads about sales or deals.

If you want my basic bitch recommendation HWbaremetal is a decent place, branch out from there and experiment with what you have.
Advice? Just don't attempt working on castings you want to keep or love, use easy to replace "Test Subjects" to practice skills till your comfortable enough to take that stang and turn it into a beauty.
Final words; don't do what I did with picrel and dunk a plastic car or base into something like nail polish remover or stripper, shit eats through the car and bloats the plastic like you wouldn't believe, plus the smell doesn't come out easy. So what I'm saying is use stripper on metal only because hopefully you aren't nearly as far down the retardation rabbithole than we are.

Not really. The main difference between muscle cars and pony cars is body size. Muscle and pony often used same engines. For example 396 was in Camaro (pony car) as well as in much larger Chevelle. Dodge's 426 and 440 was also in muscle (Charger) as well as in Challenger which was a pony car.
It's literally down to body size. Mustang 429 (the biggest option) was always a pony car while Torino with the same 429 engine was a muscle car.

Honestly, both gens lack a good enough house or a house at all to begin with to even make showcasing nice shit worth it.
Doesn't help they'll think people will judge them in their immediate social circle for collecting toy cars targeted towards children under the age of 12.
Plus even at that, car enthusiasts of the modern day are slowly dying out, not as many kids I've met really have kept any interest in cars after a certain age. (This is normal but it just feels like it's slowly leaning towards being really rare to find someone in their teen years irl who gives a shit about cars like they used to)

It's been my goal or dream to customize the interiors of the 1/64th scale cars. Some are already great. TOMICA LIMITED VINTAGE are amazingly detailed. Update: The NSX’s came super quick. Idk why but I expected them to be heavier. The spoiler is a plastic insert and all of them have a small nipple neat the middle of it. However, they’re all really nice and I’m glad I got every color. Next acquisition will hopefully be a Lexus LFA, my second-favorite car, but I don’t love the TOMY cast because it’s a 1/62 and looks a bit toyish. There are surprisingly few scale options for such a pretty car.

At this point I don't even know if we get them in Canada. Walmarts and other stores generally suck ass in terms of selection though, in some stores there's almost no Matchboxes and the ones they have have been sitting on the pegs for months.

Lots of vintage or antique stores in California have walls of old Hotwheels cars.
Pic related is Surf Crate, Saltflat Racer and Speed Blaster, which were my three favorites as a kid because of those PC demo CDs which when combined would give you different levels to Stunt Track Driver 1 and 2.

I've been a fan of Monster Jam for about 5-6 years. When Mattel had the license I remember seeing them in 2012 ? Maybe? When the trucks had flags that came with it.
