>>9082248Retro figures, until last year, were just a wave once a year that contained no BAF and had exactly six figures.
With the Retro Spider-Man wave last year, we also had a series of sporadic Retro releases as well.
Deadpool and Grey Hulk got one in 2019, as part of a series of comic releases that ran alongside the 80th anniversary stuff (this included Cowboy Wolverine, Agent Anti Venom, Stealth Spidey, Stealth Iron Man, and Xforce Deathlok, none of which had retro cards.) The SDCC Hulk was also on one.
2020 started having them for Marvel Monday reveals. Black suit Storm, Grey Beast, Mysterio, Doctor Doom, Kingpin, JJJ, and Black Cat. These were sporadic as well, with characters like Toxin getting a normal box.
We had a mini wave of target exclusives with Retro boxes for 90’s Rogue, 90’s Gambit, Negative Zone Spidey, and Cyborg Spidey. After that, we haven’t had any other Retro releases, but I know the F4 wave is a retro one, and Web Man was shown to have one.
Specific to Hulk, I don’t imagine we’ll see retro boxes for him, as the Gamerverse Hulk, Red Hulk, and Maestro all have regular boxes. Composite Hulk might have a special box as a Con exclusive.
I assume if we get a regular Hulk again, it will just be a one-off release, like Composite Hulk or Red Hulk. Not necessarily a Retro, but it could be.
