>>9096889Not that anon, but I’d suggest if you’re going to be doing a lot of custom painting then you should invest in a small set of Vallejo paints. Amazon will have them, or you can look for some deals from some online game shops. They’re some of the best hobby paints out there.
As for thinning, acrylics don’t need any fancy products 90% of the time. Water is all you need. The goal is to use a lot of thin layers. It takes longer, but looks way better.
If you need pointers and tips, check out some “how to” videos for painting miniatures. I was painting minis way before I started painting figures. It was definitely good practice and training.
