I felt the need to add some more fuel to the proverbial fire by mentioning some other Chinese cash ins on popular internet culture. Now obviously unlicensed goods based off the likes of FNAF and Among Us shpuld be expected. Both franchises were slow to merchandise, and kids growing up as fast as they do nowadays, people were eager to take advantage of that opportunity. But the real perplexing market that has cropped up in the late 2010's is the unlicensed merchandising of creepypasta e-horror characters. I've seen handfuls of mexican made sonic.exe and jeff the killer figures, typically packed in with the likes of Freddy Krueger and Jason no less. But coming across entirely original figures of Sirenhead and his numerous variations (TV head, alarm head, etc) is jarring to say the least. And Im positive theyre selling because they're listed all over the web for dirt cheap. Plushies, figure packs, cheap little resin statues, I've seen it all. Same with the likes of cartoon cat and slenderman.
