Seriously, did they ever make anything beyond the hasbro figure? As far as I know this thing doesnt even have a funko pop. I wonder if we'll see Jar-Jar bring back Cloverfield as a typical monster movie series to cash in on the monsterverse's success.

I'm amazed we never even got a vinyl figure or anything considering the inspiration for Clover was JJ Abrams and his kid going to a Japanese shop with a bunch of them and him thinking their should be a new American monster. I know people cry about Clover being generic but he's sort of the definitive generic modern movie monster

It's especially odd when you recall just how big the first movie was prior to release. The hype rivaled godzilla 98! And yet it seemed to have dissappeared as soon as it showed up. It's kind of a waste.

Out of curiosity, what are some other obscure movie monsters you guys want figures off? Anything Harryhausen would be god tier, but specifically I'd kill for Ymir and Gwangi. Outside of the harryhausen spectrum, I'd kill for a figure of Gorgo.

Obscure movie monsters eh, I'm surprised that the monster from "the relic" got a couple of figures and model kits. I definitely want tadpole monster from The Host.
I would love that giant walking creature from The Mist.

Seems exactly like something that neca would make, hell they could probably retool some pacific rim monsters to get the general body proportions of the beast.

The big problem with the Hasbro one is its just too fucking big for a stand alone monster. Personally I do like the idea of a big, all purpose monster to menace your lesser, pussy ass toys, but a lot of us giant monster fans also want creatures they can have battle their other monsters. If they just did something close to the Bandai Vinylscale or even the larger 12'' Godzillas Bandai put out it'd be cool but this is, what, too small for JakksZilla and too big for Xplus? Maybe just the right size for LanardKong? Like I hate to say it but cheapening out like they did for some other lines and making a smaller, 12'' version will less articulation at retail might've been better way to do it. even though I love what a passion project that figure is.

Actually that'd be pretty sick, Kong vs. Clover.

I think dino drac was right on the money with his theory that Gorzak was intended to be an inhumanoid. Too much about him lines up perfectly with the aesthetics of the original line up.

Mel Kirkrant's website makes me suspect this is the case for a lot of toylines; he talks about repurposing a Frankenstein toyline for Ah! Real Monsters. I imagine a lot of toy ideas that didn't work for one line get kept on the back-burner until they could sell it. They probably had a bunch of ideas for Inhumanoids monsters but once the line died they were left on the table until they could find another company to sell them too. A certain other content creator who'll remain nameless also talks about toy designers repurposing a lot of ideas

The guide is really cool because its largely illustrations of aliens from classic sci-fi books that never got proper artwork. Its before his more atmospheric artwork later one. It's certainly why he got hired to designt he powerlords stuff though.

Just look at what you have and if something jumps out at you set it aside. Once you have a decent enough selection get listing.

I just got down with round one of my "I don't care about this shit anymore" sales and made $2000. Feels good to not only have the extra cash but have less stuff taking up space.

Nah, I'm not sure if the design is supposed to be pulling from anything in particular. I always thought it took inspiration from Ultraman. There's a scene in the movie we see a toy of the monster too but unfortunately all we see is the head and shoulders (it's been years since I watched it so all I have is a picture from a youbube clip)
