I'm pretty sure he's with some kind of marketing firm contracted with Hasbro at this point. I noticed he happens to show up whenever something decently substantial is announced, then disappears until the next reveal or announcement. He makes threads as fast as he thinks he can get away with, while also using language meant to imply moving to the new thread is what everyone should do (using the same exact phrases, too, almost like an approved script), to keep discussion moving, probably so he can point it out to his boss and justify his paycheck.

I bet his initial plan to reply to this will be to insult my intelligence while providing no argument as to why he can't possibly be a marketer, in an effort to prevent anyone from taking me seriously while also distracting from the fact he has no argument.

Kinda feel the same. Seacons were probably the peak. The alt forma each had solid seamonster sculpts and they felt good pulling, sliding and flipping the parts into bot mode.

Terrorcons probably had the best bot by modern standards. His bot form almost had modern articulation.

I am so fucking tired of tabs. Everything is just shells that snap into tabs. Beast wars started it, but it was never this bad.

Honestly probably very little different. Bumblebee is still kinda dead in the water as far as a direct sequel, ROTB is going to be very different in all likelihood. but TLK already did a lot of different stuff from AoE, which was different from DoTM, etc. Main change as far as toys would probably have been delaying a lot of the studio series to fit the Unicron movie stuff, and probably having a movie Unicron at retail, as well as probably and Armad remold Unicron at retail

TLK is by far the worst transformers film ever made. Sure, some of the action scenes were pretty dope, and some of the designs were pretty cool, but the plot made absolutely no sense. They introduce Unicron with the sentence "Earth is Unicron"!!! I imagine so many casuals must have been so confused.

Like they keep asking questions like "why do the transformers keep coming here?", and then throw out "Earth is Unicron" as if that explains anything whatsoever, instead of just raising more questions.

Gonna pick up an enemy for Rod, I think I've narrowed it down to Kingdom Dinobot or Cyclonus.
Dinobot is one of my favorite characters, but I'm not crazy about his alt mode. But with Dinobot, I can pose him as an enemy or an ally to Rod.
Cyclonus seems like the better toy, and he actually fought Rod in the show and stuff, but I'm not as big a fan his fiction appearances.

I actually quite like the head. Decided not to preorder because my local sold out instantly and he looked horrid with that pose and specifically the beast mode head. Now I guess I'm gonna get him and see what I can do to fix the beast mode head. I don't expect it to look like the show without resculpting the entire goddamn thing, but man it is still kind of a dealbreaker. Glad I'm gonna be able to get him at retail price instead of aftermarket at least.
Hoping I'll be able to find a T30 Waspinator this month too.

I think they're significantly better than the bay movies but they're still mostly terrible due to the shapes of the characters that aren't Bee and the stupid amount of detail. It's very possible and easy to make "realistic" giant robots work in a live action movie without needing to have pipes and metal shards everywhere, if PR is anything to go by.
That and seriously look at the proportions on this dude. I swear every con has fucking gargantuan weird ass thighs and the head designs are still rotten messes of panels and metal shards.

These designs were made 4 months before the movies came out, the cybertron scene were being added in summer 2018 so they reused a lot of parts from Shatter, Optimus, Bumblebee, etc. The Rise of the beasts designs are more defined and better, Caple said we will see more vehicle kibble than before in robot mode.

He was always just a repainted BW Megatron, and appeared with Meg's head in the comics (though with the 'bat wings' from his mutant head attached). It affects neither - you just get one extra step while transforming him to cannon mode (flipping the shoulders back the 'wrong' way to let the wrists tab in). Otherwise he's just fine.

WHile I agree the Jeep guy needs a new name, the T-rex does not. They included the 'Rex' at the end not just because she's obviously a Tyrannosaurus, but also so you can affectionately shorten her name to just 'Rexy', which is the canon name of the Jurassic Park Rex.

The point is that people want updates of the original toys with modern engineering, not people taking liberties with the designs. Changing T-Wreck's head would have been met with the same complaints that we're hearing about Grimlock's paint scheme - an unnecessary change.

The best part is that everything points out to his being the real head T-Wrecks was suppose to have. The back of the packing uses it, and the paint scheme for the head has a white stripe between the lips where the teeth should be.

Nothing so far points it to being a retool, but it does share some engineering with Jazz, at least for the torso. No idea if the mold will be used to for something else in the future, they still haven't reused Maverick for anything event though it would make a good cyberjet with some changes to the jet mode.

Same island as JP3. That was where InGen was actually making the dinosaurs and then shipping them to Isla Nublar - where the Park was.

Jurassic Park was the zoo, but the dinosaurs were bred and raised on Isla Sorna, another island entirely. They were moved into the park when they were ready. Rexy was the only one actually moved to the park, but there were other rexes on Sorna, who of course mated and created more rexes etc. Rexy never changed sexes because she had no other rex to mate with anyway.

Continuity wise - after InGen was bought out by Masrani they started breeding dinosaurs again on Sorna (illegally, like the Spinosaurus) and ended up collapsing the ecosystem there. Eventually they ended up rounding up whatever animals were still alive and shipping them to Jurassic World before it opened to the public.

The actual designs for Bumblebee and such were pretty good. Still similar to the previous movies, but a bit simplified. The Optimus Prime and other prologue designs sucked since they look like they spent a weekend to make them.
