Can anyone help me figure out the landscape on distribution of Ladybug toys/dolls? My daughter just became a big fan (secretly I am too but don't tell anyone), but prices are so inconsistent.
I can't tell who really distributes these, Playmates or Bandai, if new toys are like JUST coming out, making the cost on eBay crazy but they'll decrease, if they're only sold at Walmart, or what.
Like, for example, I was able to pick up 4 of the dolls on Walmart.com for $17 each, but they don't have Marinette. Those same dolls are $30+ on Amazon, but they have Marinette (for $60-$90, ugh). But Walmart doesn't have the action figures pictured.
eBay prices are nuts for everything, so I can't tell if it's scalping or rarity.
I guess basically I'm asking: should I buy now before prices skyrocket, or wait for distribution to get better? Someone here has to know this shit.
Also talk about Ladybug if you want. It's a good show.
