Going by one of the POPs his arms might be meant to be gold also. Not that I think it makes it look especially good or anything but at least it'd be consistent. This isn't what I wanted when I said gimme a new black suit Spidey, Hasbro. I hate how the movie Spider-Man suits look so flat. Which is odd since the webbing is actually molded in but it doesn't look as good as the comic Spideys with the painted on webs lines.

Funny thing is, it’s likely Sony pushing for a new suit every film, since they get merch sales. And I imagine there’s some pressure to make them different every movie.
Drives me crazy, personally. Even ASM1 managed to stick to red and blue. A gold spider on a black and red suit could’ve been done well but it’s just too busy here.

I'd love to see the old gray Spider-Armor adapted to a film over Iron-Spider yet again. After Tony died just have him distance himself from his suits because it upset him too much which could lead him to design his own, thus getting a more normal looking Spidey. Say he took some inspiration from Tony's original suit but wanted to make it himself. Ta fucking da.

I like them far more than I did Garfields. Holland is a decent Peter too so that helps. They are better put together than the trainwreck that was Raimi Spidey 3.

Homecoming was better. Far From Home was just as bad as ASM2. Raimi 3 was a masterpiece compared to all of the Spidey films that have come since.

Yeah they're not perfect but I still like them. They really do need to distance him from Tony. I get that it'll always be there since that's how they set things up, but branch away from it more already. Just let him be Spider-Man. I wouldn't even mind the supporting cast being different looking if they at least had the same personality. Even the Raimi films didn't really get MJ right though, did they? I was never really into comics, just the characters. As a kid I hated having to wait a month or however long it was for the next issue. Nowadays I just read up on what my favorite characters have been up to. Like Eddie Brock recently had a cool run so I kind of want to get that Null arc in a full set. yeah, it just depends on whether you like quantity over quality. there are some figures that Toy Biz made that still are amazing, but for the most part they just look too goofy or outdated. there’s a certain charm to them (that i think has to do with nostalgia and growing up with that line).

Figures themselves are great. I think the best Classified figure measures up to the best Legends figure, in terms of articulation. Kinda up for debate there, but I think Legends Beast is top tier and characters like Snake Eyes can compete in terms of how high quality they are.

However, the trade offs are present. Legends has some really basic figures, like characters on the Bucky mold. It’s not the reuse, it’s the lack of articulation, really. Or some characters have no accessories at all.

For Joes, they all come with a decent number of accessories and almost all have butterfly joints and drop down hips to my knowledge. But the distribution and exclusives are killing the line, even with only like 4 figures every couple of months.

That's what's so bizarre even the first year of the Ranger buy out and they churned out about 18 figures in 6 months while Joes got less than 10 in the same amount of time, hell we are getting drown in Marvel legend product which I assume Hasbro has to give tribute to the mouse for every sale so it's head scratching that a brand they have had for 40+ years is being treated like no one wants it, then again, at this rate it's likley hitting there, getting serious Star Wars toy crash of 1999 vibes from the Joe brand and they actually do have a history of poor sales after films anyway.

I think they decided to hold off until the movie came out. The second wave of classified was supposed to have movie characters mixed in when the movie was supposed to come out in October of 2020. Corba island was probably something that was in the works and couldn’t be delayed

I wouldn't say there is much of a debate on the articulation front. Classified is pound for pound better than even the best Legend. Beast and the Retro Spider-Man are the best ML has in terms of articulation, and the Classified line still has a few more points on them then those two. The articulation on Beast and Spidey are the exception with ML. Classified there articulation is the rule.

I’ve heard this as well. From my understanding, they weren’t really on board for Legends until they redesigned the boxes and started making movie figures more heavily. And they were still very against Fantastic Four stuff for a long time, thanks to the movie’s failure almost a decade earlier. That’s also why Classified has been so limited on store shelves.

Day one with Hasbro's MLs, they cheaped out on paint AND increased prices. AND this is despite the fact that Toy Biz did all the heavy lifting, since the sculpt and molds were already produced by TB for the next wave or three.
So it just goes to show that Toy Biz had a higher budget for their toys than Hasbro and prices would have been less. Obviously, prices would increase over time, but there's no reason to believe that Toy Biz would slash their budget based on their previous releases and the fact that TB's (now Marvel Toys) Legendary Heroes also had a higher budget than Hasbro's at-the-time ML wave and these figures were also cheaper too.

Once the marvel rights got bought out from them, they quickly started dying as it was the one thing keeping them going. Once LCBH failed, hasbro realized they didnt know how to engineer good legends figures and then promptly bought out what remained of toybiz for access to their molds. The most fucked aspect of all this to me is that hasbro effectively came out of the 90s and 2000's as top dog by buying out their two biggest competitors from each decade.

I just got MODOK today and holy fuck this figure sucks dick. I can’t figure out what the hell is wrong here but the hair won’t go onto the body without causing significant stress marks and not sitting comfortably, it causes the whole figure to pop apart. I’ve got to get a return in the morning and try to get another but am I just a retard? Why doesn’t this fit together? Am I doing this wrong or is mine defective?

Yeah I don't mind slight differences. It looked like a good figure and I kept thinking it reminded me of something outside of just an Ironman armor. MvC2 came up in conversation with a friend today and it hit me that that had to be it. Guess it must seem weird that such a small detail can easily push one over the edge to pick up a figure.

The hair will simply not slide on even if the face is on the body. A buddy of mine sent a video of his and it seems effortless. The hair will not sit flush unless the back is on to hold it down and even then it’ll pop the figure apart.

As a huge fan of the original kirkman/philips marvel zombies books I just get depressed whenever they dredge the concept back out. Once kirkman left, marvel zombies was milked for all it was worth and now it's nothing more than a name. No other writers have come close to the genius kirkman was able to cook up. Worse yet, for the last 15 years all I've wanted are figures based directly on Sean Phillips' depiction of the zombies. To be fair the early diamond select ones were alright, but the fact we'll never get more accurate merch kind of bums me out. So not only is the concept creatively bankrupt, but now it has to be plastered in MCU guts. It's an excessive waste.
