Get only your favorite characters. Do not consume too much plastic you will run out of space.
For stuff like army dudes or foot soldiers it's okay to get a few more to have a little group if you want.
Don't even buy whole teams if you don't like all the characters

I don't even complete an entire team.
Personally, I've held off from buying Peter David's original X Factor team, because i hate Polaris and don't think anyone but Havok and Strong Guy are well worth their money.
Multiple Man is lame, Wolfsbane isn't XFactor version, and Quicksilver is subpar.

Love the XFactor comics, at least when it's written by Peter David. He wrote some great shit.
Someday i may own the entire team, but not right now.

Probably. but if you really don't like a figure or two then you will wonder why you bought them and fell just as badly.

Honestly for this kickstarter.. isn't there a "buy 4" option or something?

Anything that was ever mass produced will be available on the secondary market. Might take some looking and some prices might be higher, some lower. Any of this stuff when it is taken out of the box or the packaging is damaged has lost most if its value anyway.
