I didn’t get Firefly but I got everything else. Got at least two troopers, possibly 3. Only one viper though. Ordered from Target and Pulse (backup). One trooper already shipped, the other is ship to store (we’ll see).

I was late by a matter of seconds! So far, I managed to snag a Beachhead from Pulse. I like the toys and I'd really like to own more than one, but it feels like Hasbro is TRYING to kill this line and IP.

Trooper and Beach Head shipped, still waiting on Baroness.

Managed to preorder another Beach Head and Baroness on Pulse. Not sure what I’ll do with those yet.

I managed to get Firefly and Viper when they were first revealed, and a Beach Head when he first hit Target. Overall, I feel very lucky.

I'm kind of a realist, so I'd expect the first wave to be Duke, Snake Eyes, Scarlett, Destro and Roadblock. After that it would be 1 super popular and expected figure, with 3-4 lesser known but beloved characters. So like Wave 2 would have Storm Shadow, Snowjob, Sci-Fi, Dialtone and Baroness. Wave 3 would have Cobra Commander, Cobra Trooper, Beach Head, Tunnel Rat and like 1 of the Dreadnoks. Every Wave after would consist of a couple popular characters, couple lesser used characters and another Dreadnok. At like wave 6 they would start doing Tiger Force and other versions of previous characters.

I doubt any children even really know anything about GI Joe. I know Snake Eyes was in Fortnite, and the might start putting more of them into the game once Hasbro starts putting out their Fortnite line, but I've never understood why Hasbro never had GI Joe cross over with other military video games. I mean CoD started adding 80s Horror and Action characters. Why not the Joes? Or the Ghost Recon games? Add them as either costume packs or characters skins.

Kinda. They did a restock of the Cobra Island stuff online yesteday, but there was a fuckup and Baroness and the Viper didn't get added. They were put up today. Go to the link, scroll down a bit and click on the July 7 Tab to bring up the Joes. Most are sold out but Baroness, the Trooper and Roadblock are still up.

I only buy one trooper of each. I don’t care for army building, so I’ve got one regular trooper, one Viper, and one red ninja. I bought the CI trooper too but I really just want the goggles and the long gun, not sure which one I’ll keep.

I bought more beach heads because I’d like to customize one to be turquoise. I might sell the third one to someone on here, or I might hang on to it for a trade, not sure yet.

imo both outcomes are bad, you either paid scalpers or over a year to just sit and waited (and for some, had to also get up at early times just for this) to then click and hope for multiple tries on multiple days in some cases to get a shot at it, while you didn't pay scalpers (which is a good thing) you still lost hour(s) of time to get a chance at these, and for some it's still just a chance, I question if Target will honor these preorders or like the last few times cancel waves of them. There is no winning with collecting in this line, just different degrees of suffering.

Lads I'm thinking maybe I'll invest into the Super7's. We wont get vehicles, and they wont be as highly articulated but we'll get a load out of accessories on par with that Hasbro Pulse Exclusive Snake Eyes. Army building will be a bitch however at $55 a pop, but the good news is they're all made to order so we wont have to play these games of waiting for months just to be disappointed as we struggle to add toys to online shopping carts.

I think similarly for Wave1, but Snake Eyes is such a non-entity in Sunbow that I'd be surprised if he's in Wave 1, and not instead Wave 2 or 3, however maybe Hasbro might want him in Wave 1 for synergy, I dunno? But I don't think he's Wave 1 for Super7 in my mind. Duke and Scarlett for sure tho. Maybe Roadblock, since Mezco is doing one and it gets a minority character in there to satisfy any diversity quota while being a major character people will want and like. A Cobra Trooper who has gear that swaps out to make him into a Cobra Officer(they did similar with their recent Putties for Power Rangers). And then one major villain, so I think Destro. Although I'd want Cobra Commander right away, I think he's the kinda character you hold back to make a wave 2 or 3, or even 4 a hot wave.

They should do 1 Army Builder every wave tho(God ave mercy on my wallet). Wave 2 should be the Viper. Wave 3 should be Crimson Guard, and Wave 4 should be BATs. And then after that they can expand to Eels.

Also spit balling here, but with the Transformers Ultimates they were doing Sunbow and obscure 90's toy remakes that Hasbro would probably never make. So what if, Super7 starts doing things like Mega Marines? Ninja Force? DEF? Maybe Star Brigade? And if they some how get the license... Street Fighter II?

Super7's been pretty interesting with the aesthetic choices they're making with their figures. Mostly they've been trying to make animation accurate toys, although TMNT is the exception.

I think there'll be some toy accessories, since certain accessories came with the toys. After-all the Ultimate Optimus Prime comes with a toy head. They also gave toy accessories as extras for their Power Rangers.

I feel pretty confident they're doing Sunbow, because even their Re-Actions list things such as "Greenshirts," as figures, which are nameless G.I. Joe troopers from the ARAH cartoon. So I'm expecting most Joes to come with a cartoon laser rifle, and wacky episode related accessories.

I really hope sunbow because I’m not sure what the point of updated vintage would be; it’s not like tmnt where there is tons of unpainted detail on the old figures, and they were articulated nearly as well as s7’s ultimates are, they’d basically just be adding wrist and ankle articulation. On top of that I don’t imagine super 7 would use o rings or metal in an ultimates line so they would already compromise the look right away.

looking over the last year, it wasn't many people, likley because this fuck up happen at the start of the line so unlike Red Hulk with ML where people cursed at it but had to many years invested to just throw in the towel, but Classifieds just started so a lot of people got out of it and the bad "teases" of Pulse and Target afterwards cemented the slow burn (if any) this brand will hold. Bludd's robot arm is an obvious change that people are arguing they don't give a shit about. People also feel strongly about Storm Shadow not having a crazy tattoo arm, and I think I've seen mixed opinions about Roadblock having one. It's like Classified has been an exercise in fans figuring out what they can take or leave this entire time.

But Baroness's headsculpt just looks like traditional Baroness, which is why the original guy complaining is being silly.

Disagree, Prime always sells well, even the movie design versions. Siege as a whole was designed for double dipping but they have made on average 3 Optimus Prime molds a year for the past 14 years. He's like Batman or Spider-man, you make him people will buy him

I think some of it too is how tone deaf the Joe development team has been for the past year, they recycle parts in confusing fashions, make statements or share thoughts that show they know little of the characters themselves, and of course their near gaslighting handling of the Target exclusives over the past year in their streams, mix all that with how little gets rolled out to buy and it grows a contempt in your community where small details now matter or recycling parts and bodies or just even the order of what you roll out becomes more noteworthy.

Personally I think he will have it and Game Mill just couldn't be fucked to throw the texture on the model because that game felt rushed as hell or Hasbro hadn't settled on the design fully before the developers had to ship the game.

Third possibility is a wider market for the game, China has such aggressive laws about certain tattoos, one of the weirdest was Way of the House Husband show where they had to edit off all the tattoos off the main character, this law/rule strangely only applies to media.

If she's mainline it won't hit strong enough, Red Ninja was always the easiest one to get and many of us got them on some event deal shows that she be fine. Also it's a weird argument you bring when most GI Joes are just standard generic outfits, Lady Jay, Duke, Breaker, etc, they don't have very distinct looks.

Not the best either, Transfomers has a wide net of people buying figures over and over aging.
Really Storm Shadow is a killer seller too, he had a huge amount of figures in the 3 inch line and they all sold well. Might be another case where the team doesn't understand the brand all that well.

I genuienly believe its because of the Classic 80's Fans who freaked out about all the tiny little changes to the first batch of figures. I think they realized that those people would freak the fuck out if they didn't get as close to a recreation of the classic look as possible. The weird mouth piece and dragon tattoo would cause to much of a coniption fit so they're pushing him back and redesigning him to be as classic inspired as possible.

I also enjoy the redesigns. The glowing LED aspects of the armor bits as well as the gold parts on the first few figures are the only thing I really didn't care for with the line. The recolors for Duke and Roadblock I think were better than the first runs, but I think the first Scarlett is better than the recolor. Only thing I don't really care for on the Storm Shadow design is the mouth part of the mask. I think a normal mask would be better. Everything else about him looks fine and I love the Tattoo.

Not that I can recall, There was a distinctly different Storm Shadow in Action Force that was in the Yakuza (can't remember his name) but I think his backstory was just ignored at some point and he became the SS we all know as the series went along. I guess they never had the rights to the name in any Western book?

Idk man, I think they are concerned about the longevity of the line, so they hold back some of the major players. This theory might not hold water considering we do have most of the major characters represented in the line in one form or another. I can see Duke and Scarlett getting ARAH inspired figures down the line. Other than Stalker and SS, have they skipped any A listers?

It has a few other meanings too. According to Hama, he intended it to possibly mean other things, based on various Japanese homonyms, he never set on one to keep the story flexible, hence the fallen Arashikage clan being called red ninjas.
Also that was the name of the family was Arashikage meaning you could have dozens of Storm Shadows and it would be canonically accurate.

Yeah depends on what era you grew up in. He's pretty important to me as I grew up with Spy Troops and VvV, and he was the man behind all the creations, but that depiction is vastly different from the 80s portrayals

You say that but the Dreadnoks have a strong following and they were a big piece set to collect in the 25th line. They also kept adding and adding OCs to the teams and the communities seem to like it. Not sure if it's the Mad Max style they have or the fact they get some really outlandish weapons like the saw gun, or super sledge. Also found it weird Croc Master wasn't a part of the troupe since they were swamp based in theme.

I would love it if the franchise started building out more factions. MARS Industries, Action Force and the Red Shadows, the Oktober Guard, S.K.A.R., expand the universe and the conflict to more then just two major players.

I wouldn't worry about that. They pretty much have every major character from the film coming out aside from the Masters. If MCU figures are any example, Hasbro usually just does one wave of the main characters for the film and that's it. It's not like they're short on characters to fill out waves, plus they can start doing theme sets too like more Arctic Mission stuff to go with the Storm Shadow.

consider here >>9152185 v33 to 35 are all movie Storm Shadow and they were worse with Snake eyes and that film didn't do great either,also consider they did many of the same character for Marvel films for ML and Star War characters for Black series.
Hasbro likley has deals made for this kind of stuff so I wouldn't bat an eye if we get 3+ more of the main cast next year.

if you wanted even one set of the Transformer twins you had to pay $140 for two exclusive sets from different stores and you still be left with twin without their partner which required an additional $120 set, note these three sets had about 6 months apart from each other. Alternatively you have to wait 4 and a half years for the Amazon and Target twin packs that were marked up.
Hasbro is just an asshole company.

As much as I love the Cobra La characters I just don’t see it as a possibility for how drip feed this line is, nevermind they be mostly originally toolings they couldn’t use else where. You might be able to recycle Nemesis Enforcer into the Cobra la guard but the other two would require mostly new parts

If you've got money to spare, sure, most are on heavy discount at the moment. The quality is spotty though: face paint can be rough, joints loosen after a fair bit of posing, and hip joints are easily snapped if you aren't careful. I see it as a great novelty though, nothing else out that really captures pure 90s ninja essence.

There's a lot of looks from the game that I want figures of. But yea, it isn't the greatest game. I hated the mission where you play as Roadblock or Lady Jaye. RB controls like ass and his giant taser sucks. But after I chose a different character I started enjoying it much more and I've almost finished the campaign now. Just sucks that you have to basically spam the auto aim in order to hit anything. I wish the controls were a little tighter and that the ults could be aimed better or something. Then again I'm playing on Switch so maybe it's a bit better on other platforms.

Speaking of that, I don't know if I'm reading this right but according to the blurb in the art book for the game, it seems like the Classified figure for Firefly was actually based on the character design for his base skin in the game and that the game designers were inspired by his PoC figure.

nta, but Slaughter said it in one of his online con signing appearances that Hasbro had one in the barrel coming. Mostly he's been doing his Action Force promotions for Wave 1 Slaughter and Wave 2 Slammer (UK Slaughter) that happens to be more Triple T form of Slaughter. Both are made based on his real life look while a Hasbro version would probably be more younger, media-based like they usually do.
