LEGO Creator vehicles (911, Mustang, 007 Aston Ferrari F40) are something from 1:10 to 1:12 scale if I remember right. It's not fixed but differences are not too big. Same as diecast hotwheels or matchbox range from 1:55 to 1:64 scale despite same size/packing.

This. While I understand the fun of making something detailed out of Lego and I've bought many collectors sets in the past, I can't get over the unpainted plastic look. High end Lego models are very nice fun toys but when being displayed I can't see them as a viable option for anything that has other models or figures.

I just want to know if figures can comfortably sit in the vehicles, if I wanted a realistic display model, I wouldn't buy a brick based toy that I have to build for hours.

Yeah the Lego car kits come with a minifig that fits in the driver's seat. I bought a couple yesterday and they look pretty nice
